There is an entrance fee, but it's not that expensive. It is also just a few minutes from central Hailar which is good. There are bikes you can rent, with up to 4 seats which are enjoyable, and not that expensive. You can walk along walkways through the forest in the park, which is enjoyable. To be honest, this is a forest which is really nice, but it is simply a forest. Why they make it a tourist attraction must be a Chinese mystery. My Chinese friends were all amazed by it - I grew up close to the forest, so it is nothing special.

This park was located within the city. A very interesting species of pine and other interesting plants as well as a good spot for bird watching. The soil is sandy an so the pines have a spreading root system that gets exposed in the wind. The trees are not dense and the area is small. I would classify it more... More
