Sunset in Zia

3 reviews
Charming Zia in the southernmost slope, whose superb location makes it the perfect spot for viewing spectacular sunsets and gazing at the nearby islands of Kalymnos and Pserimos as well as the Turkish coast in the distance.

During the summer the settlement of Zia is bursting with activity from the countless visitors who come to taste local delicacies served in charming traditional taverns, to purchase unique local products and souvenirs and to stroll through the cobblestone alleyways all the way up to its crystal-clear fresh water springs, the most well-known of which is Kefalovrisi.

The beach was really quiet & clean. The water was very clear. The Children went Paddle boarding & at that point we were the only people on that portion of beach.

Our hotel The Palazzo Del Mare had it’s own private strip with free sun beds. Fabulous walk along the waters edge from here to Tigaki but beware of the nudists who pop up in the dunes like meerkats!

Mammari is a beautiful, peaceful place with a lovely beach which never gets too crowded, and has cheaper sunbeds then other beaches in the areas If you do NOTHING else, go to Ambrosia's cafe for a traditional Greek breakfast, it is AMAZING!!! The cafe is also a women's co-op, and the staff are so friendly. Check out Tigaki for lovely evening meals and bars- memories do the best cocktails! And if you have a car, you need to go check Lovely beach Mamari holds a special place in my heart :)
