About Erika's Horse Farm
Erika's Horse Farm is a family-run business established in 2008. We work solely from the love for our horses and animals. We give the opportunity to both adults and children to interact with horses and live the unforgettable experience of Horse Riding. Our farm is supported and very much appreciated by the local people of Kos and tourists. Our first priorities is, of course, the safety of the riders, therefore we are fully equipped with Helmets, Riding Boots, Chaps and Gloves. All of our Riding Equipment (Saddles, Bridles, Body Rollers etc) is checked every day for breakages and repaired accordingly. We have 25 horses, all stictly trained by English and German rules of Horse Riding.

Best horse ride experience I have ever been on! Was amazing to ride the horses on the beach and to watch the sunset! Just so beautiful! Really recommend!! My boyfriend had never ridden a horse before but he loved it too! 😁

Best experience ever! Ticked off the bucket list! It was my first time on a horse and I was very nervous, but the staff there were very kind and helpful particularly Babis (thanks for being so kind) Thanks to all staff at the farm for the experience of a lifetime!

I did the sunset beach ride including swimming with the horses yesterday. The horses, the staff and just over all the experience was amazing. I was in the experienced group which was amazing we cantered around the salt lake, then galloped along the beach and took the horses into the water which was more than amazing. I would have to say one of the best experiences of my life. The horses were all amazingly well cared for! Having previously ridden in Greece on another island I can say I was very happy with the standard of care given to the horses here The only issue was nothing to do with Erika or her staff or her horses but with people who have little to no experience saying they are good riders. The experienced group goes fast! Cantering and galloping along the beach and round the lake. If you sign up for the experienced group don’t expect it to be slow. So when someone who claims to be able to ride can’t even ask their horse to come back to a walk it’s a bit of an eye rolling moment. However the beginners group was 100% suitable for beginners! Overall it was an amazing experience thank you Erika, her staff and Maya ❤️

Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with my sunset beginner ride tour which I did today. Each of us were given horses. We were a bigger group. After we went on the horses, the tour immediately started. There were no explanations for first time riders as an introduction, such as how to stop, how to hold the leashes. This should be given as an instruction before you go on a horse. When I went on my horse, I noticed it was very nervous. I am a lot with animal together, so this really negatively surprised me. I spoke to Janis about it. I told him that I do not feel comfortable and if I can change the horse. But they immediately started the tour. Nobody asked if everyone feels comfortable. I was told it would be fine. The whole trip my horse bit in the leashes of the other horse walking close to me. If Janis hadn't hold my leash the horse Tellis would not have listened. I followed the instructions of Janis and asked what i can do to maked the horse feel comfortable and if I do Anything wrong. Janis explained a lot and took his time. I really have to point out that the staff was very kind. However, I could not really enjoy the whole ride. I told this to Janis that I do not feel comfortable and safe. Later, I spoke to the owner, Erika. Her reaction was rolling her eyes and telling me I would have hold the leash wrongly. My horse would be very calm. I Responded her: All the other horses were super calm, but mine obviously not. The rest of the group could also see it. Sometimes my horse even didn't listen to Janis. Without Janis, the ride would not have been safe. My impression of Erika was that she is a tough business woman only being interested in money. The whole time she was only busy taking phone calls for doing new bookings. Critics are not taken seriously. At the end when I together with Janis wanted to give the horse I rode an apple, the horse turned away which is very unusual. This confirms the chemistry was not there from the beginning. Janis saw it but of course cannot contradict his boss. I would wish Erika takes especially first time riders seriously and do not turn critics down. I am glad nothing happened. I didn't enjoy it and said it from the beginning. If anything had happened, she would have put it on me saying I hadn't held the leash properly. Actually, I had 10 years ago lessons. If I had been a pure beginner, I maybe could not have hold this horse.
