We were looking for something that would make our offices a special place, something that combined the idea of beautiful, rare and artistic. The mosaic are simply a piece of fine art, statues carved in white marble seem to move for real. We met the owner, Paolo, who outlined the techniques they use to create these masterpieces. Last but not the least Paolo hosted us for brunch. Favret does it better !!!!!

Visiting Favret Mosaici Artistici has been a fulfilling experience. Mr. Favret and his staff are very cordial, skillful and knowledgeable in the art of making mosaics. They know a great deal about their process and materials. Their pieces of art in process or in their gallery show an exceptional cleverness in mastering the mosaic medium.

My visit to Favret Mosaic Studios and time spent with Paolo was simply amazing. I learned so much and was in awe of the work being done by the artisans there. Paolo walked us through the whole process from showing us sketches, to seeing how they create the "puzzle" on paper, to choosing the colors....and then, to see the artisans at work; patiently creating these sections of masterpieces...and lastly, seeing the sections put together to become a finished mosaic. We were able to see something go from being an artist's conception to a finished work of art. It was all just so fascinating and Paolo Favret was so patient to explain everything, and to answer all our questions. I was expecting a giant studio, but upon arrival, it is apparent you are really visiting an artisinal production facility. The small number of artisans are capable of creating giant works of art; the kinds of things you see in major church apses around the world. It is always amazing to me to see how anything is produced; I find that kind of thing particularly fascinating, As such, I go out of my way when I travel to find interesting things such as Favret Mosaic Studios and this counts as one of my favorite finds!
