In town in business and the museum was open on Sunday. When we arrived it was the last hour so it was free. More than enough time to see everything. If you are a fan of IKEA you will like the museum.

This was a delightful surprise on my trip to Scandinavia. I've always been fascinated by IKEA's business model and design philosophy so my visit was motivated by that interest as well as just loving museums in general. There are three main sections: the history of...More

Small IKEA town in the middle of nowhere (Sweden). You will be able to see and understand the history and dogma for that company (like the only one first-class ticket for flight from Spain to Sweden when HQ was in fire).

We drove from the summer house to Almhult. The museum is modern designed, with all necessary products in history and Company history. We took also our Photo catalog look-alike, which was fun. The restaurant/cafe provides also good food and drinks.

To me the entire experience was an amazing and inspiring lesson in what can be achieved from humble beginnings. You can't help but walk away with great appreciation.

A bit of the beaten track but really worth a look and if you like Ikea stores you will love the museum, shop and restaurant set up in the original Ikea shop. The whole story from the beginning and how they revolutionised how the Swedish...More

A day trip is long enough but I recommend you to visit Ikea Fynd (bargain) store as well. Good luck:)
