Ko Kyi and his family provide a very enjoyable experience in Kalaw - interesting walks, insight into the local land, and delicious food! This is a highly recommended tour and is certainly one of the best things I did in Myanmar. Jezutembare!

This was one of the most incredible experiences in my life. Ko Kyi is the best trek guide and taxi service in Kalaw! I was visiting my family in Yangon and my cousin and Ko Kyi planned the trek from Kalaw to Inle Lake. He was incredibly kind and super knowledgable throughout the whole trek. He brought the fun with showing us fun games in the wild, plants that we've never seen before, and was very thoughtful the whole way. He and his wife were with us for three days and made us feel comfortable right away. She met us at every village stop we stayed and cooked us some amazing meals. Ko Kyi thought of all the transportation from picking us up in the hotel in Kalaw to start our trek until the end when we got to Inle Lake; he planned and booked the boatman that took us around Inle and then picked us up on the other side of the lake to take us back to the airport. They also somehow got me a birthday cake when we got to Inle, which I had not expected at all! He and is wife are the kindest people ever and I could not recommend them more!

Ko Kyi is one of the best guides we've ever had. He is knowledgeable about the landscape and Myanmar history and has many entertaining stories to share. During our trek from Kalaw to Inle, he often heard us discussing questions amongst ourselves and the next thing we knew, he was taking us on a detour to show us the very thing we were wondering about. He was super attentive and accommodating and when we had a last minute change in plans for the final day, he went out of his way to ensure the fees we'd already paid would cover as much as possible, rather than just charging us extra. His wife was lovely and cooked delicious meals, we loved our homestay experience, and he and his wife miraculously sourced a (surprise) birthday cake for my cousin, even with very little notice. Communication prior to the trip was great, including an outstanding mastery of English, and his vehicle was reliable and safe. We had such an incredible experience with Ko Kyi that we sent our parents and daughter on a brief excursion with him when they visited Kalaw as well. Genuinely lovely individual and we cannot recommend him highly enough!

We booked a trekking day in the surroundings of Kalaw with Kyi. He is a great guide, very considerate, fluent in English and interested in making you know about local life in Myanmar. I remember it as a great day and not only for the trekking, wich was also excelent. It was really enriching for us to spend a day together and to learn about the customs and culture of Myanmar with him. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Myanmar.

It was a very pleasant walk. This is my first time to Myanmar and i didn't know much about this country, after spending 3 days and 2 nights with Kokyi and locals, even only a short time but i learn a lot about their culture and lifestyle (because i asked many questions). Kokyi is very knowledgeable and willing to share everything he knew, he can easily point out the name and usage of crops, herbs, flowers and fruit trees ... etc. Also he have a good sense of humor and a lot of stuffs to share (story, Myanmar culture ...), you won't get bored with him. I did the trekking at 11/6-13/6(kalaw to Inle lake), it's the beginning of rain season but i was quite lucky that the weather wasn't so bad, 50-60% of the time was blue sky, there was some raining and the situation was acceptable, a good raincoat and slip resistant shoes would be your good friend. The stay with locals was amazing! Farm to table dishes, and the warmness welcoming of the villagers. The little girls showed me around their village and picked flowers for me, I would never forget this beautiful moment <3 Kokyi and his wife were being very nice and helpful too, my bus arrived Kalaw at very early moring and Kokyi was already there, he offered the place for me to recharged (which i didn't expected) and her wife prepared the breakfast to make sure I have enough energy for hike, very thoughtful! I had an amazing moment with Kokyi's family and friends, his friend Mr.D is also very funny, reliable and knowledgeable too, he was my driver to (GHV) elephant camp, we didn't spent much time together but he was like a good friend :) For those who want to experience local treats, make local friends and get to know more about Myanmar, I would highly recommend Kokyi and Mr D!
