The Old Town Chiang Khong,it far from downtown only 500 meters at Sobsom-Hadkrai area.it is promenade street. good for walk and sight seeing.Some wooden house nearly 100 years old.local Food shop,handicraft accessories,cotton cloths.The community still stick with old life style.relax,chill out easily.There is tobacco leaf curing plant.Every Friday have walking street,performances.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

If you happen to be there on a Friday, then it's worth some of your time to have a look round. There isn't much more to do in Chiang Khong.

Lovely small market, every Friday evening. Very friendly people, nice food and entertainment (local music and dancing). Great atmosphere.

Set up by local people and selling homemade product and local food.
Open every Friday from around 5.00 p.m to 7.00 p.m.

Some night will have live music and local dance show by community.

Cafe Leo is a trip worth the time

Recommend stopping at Cafe Leo if you wish to explore away from the hotel...nice decor, atmosphere, coffees & a few great bites to eat!!
