WOW! I thought I knew how to make chocolate, but turns out, I only knew how to eat it! We had the extreme pleasure of meeting with Henrik and experiencing how to make chocolate. Now, I'll be honest, my homemade chocolate did not turn out as well as the bars at TBCF, so be sure to buy a few for your travels home. Awesome, awesome experience!

WOW! What an incredible and unique experience we had here. We had the privilege of meeting Henrik (owner) today and experienced first hand not only how to make chocolate from start to finish (which you get to eat) but also received a phenomenal history lesson on cacao and chocolate making. I could share more but I’d spoil the great experience you’d have visiting and experiencing for yourself. If you find yourself anywhere near Playa Conchal/Tamarindo/Brasilito, this is an absolute must do. This is chocolate in its most purest form. I look forward to bringing my daughter back one day to experience this! 😀

I have taken cooking classes and food tours in many locations but this chocolate making class at the Beach Chocolate Factory was one of the most enjoyable. If you are near Brasilito and can get reservations for the Friday only class, it’s well worth the time. Highly recommended.

I was so glad we booked this educational tour with Henrik, he educated us on how chocolate is grown and made. We were able to get the cocoa beans, shell them and make our own chocolate. Definitely worth the time and money.

The Beach Chocolate Factory is a great place to check out if you like chocolate. It was interesting learning all about the history of chocolate, the cacao tree, harvesting, and processing. Henrik gave us a hands on demonstration of how the cocoa beans are roasted, shelled, and ground. Then we made our own tasty chocolate treats to take home. We came with friends, but it would be a great experience, and a nice afternoon out of the sun, for people of all ages.

Yum! Yum! A Very tasty time was had by the whole family at the Beach Chocolate Factory Chocolate workshop. From tree to fruit, to roasting the beans, grinding the chocolate and making chocolates to take home. This was an amazing hands-on workshop and educational experience. Henrick is a wealth of knowledge on chocolate making and its history in Costa Rica. Can't wait to go again!

The Beach Chocolate Factory is a perfect treat for couples wanting to experience something together..but it is also a perfect decant experience with friends and family. My husband and I enjoyed the experience in very different ways, he was very hands on while I took notes and lots of pictures. All the senses come alive from listening to the history of the Cacao Bean to all the different ways one must touch and prepare it for tasting. Getting it is readied for roasting and oh the aroma is divine and you just can't for the chocolate to be ready for you to delight in the tastes, that first wonderful taste. When the jubilant class came to a close, we couldn't stop talking about the delightful experience from begining to end and the discoveries and sheer fun we had in making this delightful treat. Everyone should experience Henrik and his AUMazing Beach Chocolate Factory every time they are in the area. It will be delight for all the senses for sure.

I genuinely enjoy it when my guests feel the inspiration and react with sheer poetry. I agree it challenges all your senses, taste buds, brain, heart, and some guests have trouble defining their feelings when they get to taste their own creations made from the purest and freshly roasted cocoa - thank you for voicing your feelings.

My daughter LOVES chocolate and saw the advertisement for a chocolate workshop and arranged the whole thing. Henrik was an excellent host! We learned so much and got to eat our own creations at the end! Highly Recommended!

It is always a pleasure to entertain families with children, and in your case it was extra fun because your daughter was so passionate about the cocoa and the chocolate! I hope I have induced a new group of chocolate lovers!
