If you have time out while in Puigcerda take opportunity to sit and relax at the lake. Sit facing mountains in winter time and enjoy the double view. Small kid zone with slides etc.
We have been to the lake each time we go out to dinner in Puigecerda when skiing in La Molina or Masella - either a brisk walk before or a refresh after. Beautifully set with nice residences around park. Well maintained.

We chose Puigcerda as a stopping point on our journey through Catalonia. We wanted to drive over the mountains to the Nuria Valley Rack Rail starting at Ribes de Freser and then carry on west towards France. Puigcerda itself is a pleasant little town set on a hill. We stayed at the hotel over the station which was so central and convenient. There is a funicular that takes from the lower, more modern part of town up to the largely pedestrian town center. Lots of good shopping, good restaurants and a spectacular view from the top of their bell tower. The views of the mountains and verdant farm land around Puigcerda are marvelous. We loved it there and would have stayed longer if we could have changed our plans.

We loved this beautiful and peaceful lake which was just a few minutes’ walk from the tourist office. We admired the behaviour of the resident swans and spent a few minutes just absorbing the tranquility.

Beautiful lake but nothing special, quite and nice place. We stopped by for half an hour and was sufficient. Nice lake and mountain views for pictures.

We went to explore the town and kill some time before the restaurants opened for dinner. The little lake was a bonus.

The lake is pretty small, it has various birds of different species, fish and other critters. There’s a small park for the kids, and you can take a walk around it in about 5-10 minutes. Enjoyable and peaceful.

Very nice lake on the mountain side. We took a walk around it to admire the swans and ducks. It is just a few minutes up the mountain road with good parking just by the side of the road.

Mi castellano escrito es mejor que mi catalán escrito. Lo siento.
Pasear por Puigcerdà no tiene muchos secretos ya que no es muy grande.
Todo se concentra en la plaza Santa María con el campanario de la antigua iglesia, calle Major, Cerdanya y Bisbe Sans y Deu d´Abril hasta plaza Cabrinety (calle de les escoles Pias)
Hacia la zona norte de esta plaza tienes la Rambla José Mª Martí donde tienes una parkin SABA con descuento RACC. La plaza Call donde puedes comer rápido, bien y rápido +-) y el cine.
Si coges la calle Dr. Pi Guillem te lievará directamente al LAGO. Justo al llegar a él pasarás por delante del Hotel Villa Paulita, donde te recomiendo vayas un día a comer y poder contemplar el LAGO cómodamente sentado y bién comiendo (de noche espectacular)
