Decent sized car park. Easy to pay for car park and it cost £1.50 to spend the day here (mid week fee). We spent just over 2 hours here. We saw all around the park in this time and had a picnic. It is mostly woodland paths and some tracks through grassland where goats graze on part of it. It was a pleasant walk but there isn’t much to the park really - mostly a circular walk which takes just over an hour to walk fully. Would be good to return to if I lived locally but it’s not worth me going to regularly as it is 50 mins away from where I live.

This is a fantastic local country park near Meopham , Kent . It has beautiful trees & paths . There is also some really new wooden play equipment for the kids . We had 6 children with us and we played races over the A frame and cargo nets . The autumn 🍂 leaves looked amazing red , yellow , gold & green . There are also some great views over Kent as trosley is very high up .

Wanted to explore other Kent Country Parks and decided on this one. Arrived early and used PayByPhone app for parking without issue. Parking was good early on but by the time we left had got very busy. Clearly marked walking routes and beautiful views. The trim trails and wooden play areas were great for an active toddler and were well spaced out around the route. Enjoyed a sandwich and drink in the cafe that was well organised too. Will certainly be back to explore further.

Parked here. Used phone to ring ringo (as per sign by parking machine. Paid £2.16 which i thought to be a strange amount (money came out my account). Was fined. I appealed, they said they did not use Ringgo! Well i didn't imagine the sign. Wish i had taken a picture 😒. Not sure who, but someone has conned me

We decided to take a wintery walk with the dog and our 8yr old.

I decided to try this country park as we hadn't been before.
The park is very nice with different walks signposted. You can see some great views of the Kent countryside and lots of wildlife doing their thing.

At this time of year wellies/hiking boots are a must. Also be aware there are some steap climbs on some of the trails. These can be avoided though.

There are also horse trails if you ride horses, if you don't then be a good person and keep your dog under control and give riders a wide birth. Don't want to spook the horse!

There is a small playpark for the little ones to let off steam and a cafe/visitor centre. Parking is £1.50 all day, except Bank Holidays.

If you like a nice woodland walk it's well worth a visit.

A nice woodland walk, easy to follow path. Lovely view point half way round the walk, nice to sit here on the hilltop with a flask of tea and relax.
Cafe for takeaway drinks and snacks.

I would return, just a shame it gets very busy.

Drove from Manchester to Sussex and stopped off here to give the dog a break. Entered the gate, and parked up behind a wooden building (which after we walked round the corner discovered was the cafe and toilets and the car park). Had half an hour there, then carried on our journey. Received a parking charge notice for £70 some days later for parking in the car park! We didn't park in the car park, neither did we see signs to tell us to pay. a parking fine is such a miserable thing to come home to. Really annoyed!

Just a note of warning - this place does not have any kind of first aid kit on site despite having a children’s playground. My son hit his head on the slide, we ran into the coffee shop and were refused anything frozen to use as a compress and no first aid kit on site.

Hi Lena, thank you for your recent comment regarding first aid at Trosley, if there are staff on site on the day a first aid kit would be available but as this is an unmanned site this will not always be the case. The café is a private business so have their own policy towards first aid. If you have any further questions regarding this please email - kentcountryparks@kent.gov.uk. Many thanks, Kent Country Parks Team
