I had to rate 3 stars for balance. The country park and cafe are very good, with fine views and good walks, worth 5 stars. The parking situation is not worth any, as the car park is run by Euro Car Parks, a company that wants to fine people, for any and every reason. On my last visit I paid the £2.50 charge and got no ticket. I went in the cafe, got paper and wrote a note to put in the car. Two weeks later a £70 fine arrives, with my appeal rejected.
So, I would recommend that if you arrive and the ticket machines are not working, to leave as soon as possible, for Euro Car Parks will blame you for their faulty machines!!

I went here thinking I'd have a quiet walk in the woods.
This didn't happen as I spend most of my time trying to avoid the mud.
The rest of my time I was trying do avoid all the dogs.
I've never seen as many dogs in one place.
When I arrived there was one other car in the car park and after walking for 90 minutes I returned to my car to find the car park full and I struggled to get out.
Before I left home I looked on the internet for what time the park opened only to find three different times, 8:30, 9:00 & 9:30. The internet also said it was £1.50 for parking during the week only to find it was £2.50 when I got there.
This was a completely wasted journey and I can't recommend this place to anyone and my advise is to avoid this place at all costs.

This is a fantastic local country park near Meopham , Kent . It has beautiful trees & paths . There is also some really new wooden play equipment for the kids . We had 6 children with us and we played races over the A frame and cargo nets . The autumn 🍂 leaves looked amazing red , yellow , gold & green . There are also some great views over Kent as trosley is very high up .

Wanted to explore other Kent Country Parks and decided on this one. Arrived early and used PayByPhone app for parking without issue. Parking was good early on but by the time we left had got very busy. Clearly marked walking routes and beautiful views. The trim trails and wooden play areas were great for an active toddler and were well spaced out around the route. Enjoyed a sandwich and drink in the cafe that was well organised too. Will certainly be back to explore further.

Parked here. Used phone to ring ringo (as per sign by parking machine. Paid £2.16 which i thought to be a strange amount (money came out my account). Was fined. I appealed, they said they did not use Ringgo! Well i didn't imagine the sign. Wish i had taken a picture 😒. Not sure who, but someone has conned me

We decided to take a wintery walk with the dog and our 8yr old.

I decided to try this country park as we hadn't been before.
The park is very nice with different walks signposted. You can see some great views of the Kent countryside and lots of wildlife doing their thing.

At this time of year wellies/hiking boots are a must. Also be aware there are some steap climbs on some of the trails. These can be avoided though.

There are also horse trails if you ride horses, if you don't then be a good person and keep your dog under control and give riders a wide birth. Don't want to spook the horse!

There is a small playpark for the little ones to let off steam and a cafe/visitor centre. Parking is £1.50 all day, except Bank Holidays.

If you like a nice woodland walk it's well worth a visit.

Had a nice stroll on a Sunday morning, payed for a parking ticket, two weeks later received a parking fine due to the ticket machine not working correctly and not printing out the full registration number. Disgusted with the way the parking is by euro car parks. Won’t be visiting again!

Love the country park however the staff in the cafe were absolutely appalling and completely spoiled what had up to then been a lovely day. Very rude and aggressive. Very sad as the staff used to be amazing, and the food they served and the way they treated customers was what kept many people coming back. We’ll stick to Manor Park in West Malling in future, not as big as Trosley but at least you can buy a sandwich without getting shouted at.

A nice woodland walk, easy to follow path. Lovely view point half way round the walk, nice to sit here on the hilltop with a flask of tea and relax.
Cafe for takeaway drinks and snacks.

I would return, just a shame it gets very busy.
