What more can you ask for. One price, pick up and return to the airport, excellent accommodations, knowledgable guide. Our week with Jenny and Stuart was a week well spent. Jenny's breakfasts were great, I recommend her Camembert omelet. But the gem in the picture is Stuart. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about preserving the history of the Normandy... Our family of 6 spent a day with Stuart this past week. Hands down the best guide we've ever had for any excursion. Stuart knowledge and his passion for D-day and the heroes who were a part of it gave us a unique perspective of those events. If you have the time, I'd suggest 2-3 days with Stuart!

My wife and I spent 6 days/5 nights with Stuart and Jenny Robertson exploring the Normandy Battlefields and the area. As the last 214 reviewers have said, Stuart is the best historian/guide in the area if you can get him. My wife and I fully agree. I will not go into all the wonderful details already listed in previous reviews... More

My family of 6, including our four children ages 11-19 just went on a one day tour with Stuart Robertson. Everyone of us agree that it was the highlight of our 2 week European vacation (which itself was wonderful)! Stuart is a wealth of knowledge and very passionate about what happened at Normandy during WWII. He held all of our... More

If you are traveling to Normandy, you must enlist Normandy Battle Tours. You will never completely understand all that happened on this day until you have a private tour guide. Stuart, the guide and his wife Jenny were amazingly hospitable in their bed and breakfast built in the 1600's with Normandy history of its own. They were kind, caring and... More

Know this before booking any other Normandy tour: Stuart is a trained, scholarly historian and master storyteller who happens to give tours. He is not a tour guide with some basic knowledge of what happened in the summer of 1944, as we learned so many other battlefield tour guides are. Stay away from them, and enjoy learning from an expert.... More

The few days we spent experiencing the D-Day battlefields with Stuart and Jenny were amazing and beyond expectation. One cannot stand among the peaceful hedgerows and panoramic beaches without connecting with the price the Allies paid to free France and ultimately Europe. Stuart is not only a brilliant historian but also a gifted story-teller. He can talk troop actions and... More

Very seldom does a trip or experience exceed my expectations but this was one of them. My wife and I stayed at Stuart and Jenny's beautiful farm home for 4 evenings and it was everything I wanted and more..........The accommodations were picture book, old French home, beautifully decorated and I was able to sleep with the windows open.....perfect. Stuart is... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day sojourn with Stuart and his wife Jenny. They were delightful and capable hosts. From the moment Stuart picked us up at the Carentan rail station until we left he provided us a depth of knowledge and insight that make this a truly memorable trip. His obvious knowledge and passion to tell... More

Four of us recently toured the D-Day battlefields for five days with Stuart, and what an amazing experience it was! His extensive knowledge of the first days of the Normandy campaign brings the history to life. Stuart is a true historian by both education and research, but the experience is more than simply a recitation of facts and events. By... More
