I was very keen on visiting this place,as it was my first visit and I had heard a Lot about the positive vibes of this place. I had been to this place last week ,though there was renovation going on , so could not get darshan proper. Later I had been to the original old temple , really felt very peaceful. Had a great darshan there. I must one must visit this place once in lifetime for peace and positive vibes in life.

Wonderful ..peaceful and positive vibes. Worth visiting and soaking in the bliss of Guru. Very well maintained and upgrade of the temple by authorities. The Annachattra and yatriniwasis equally good. Reminded me of Tirupati

Swami Samarth Samadhi temple & the banian tree is to be visited. I have visited it in Dec. 2020. Its 1 hour drive from Solapur. Buses are flying every 15minutes. Due to Corona pandemic the prasad gruh was closed. Neat and clean mandir area.

Visited swami Samarth Samadhi but not the temple. I believe the temple is about a kilometre away.
Very peaceful, quiet and clean. Met a young lad, the 6th generation priest. He briefly explained about the Samadhi.

Swami Samarth’s padukas are in a separate toon in this premises and also the well which he helped to fill with water.

Absolutely no crowd on the evening I visited from Solapur.
Parking is possible in nearby lanes.

This temple is located at Akkalkot around 40 Km from Solapur. Tourist cabs and also state bus are available from Solapur.

Swami Samartha Maharaj Temple is very clean and well maintained. There is a Vat Vruuksha (Bannyan Tree) under which it is said that he attained his Samadhi. Some belongings like seat with cushions said to be used by him are also kept of for darshan. On the way near the temple premises lot of vendor stalls selling prasadh stuffs and other pooja items are operating. The temple is quite small with a small hall yard where visiting devotees sit and sing bhajans.

There is another premises around 500 m away from this temple inside the town the samadhi temple where the mortail remains of Swami Samarth is said to be placed in rest. This temple is maintained by Cholappa family.Devotees in family groups were sitting in the worship hall and performing pooja conducted by priests. The young presist sitting near the main samadhi told that Swami Samarth agreed to have his Samadhi laid here only after the cholappa family agreed to conduct poojas and maintain the samadhi for 7 generations to follow and the young priest said he is the sixth generation preist till date.

Food is provided in a mutt run by the trust outside the Vat Vruksha temple which also has accommodation facility.
