Fantastic location with even better beer. Came back from Australia to see family and made it a must to visit this brewery and it did not disappoint! Couldn’t think of a better spot for knock-off beers on Friday. Might even have to make it back there today!!

Can't beat a cold one on a hot day, eh? Thanks for your review - we do try our best, and when we know we've got it right, it's very rewarding - especially when it's from someone from the other side of the world! Glad you could pay us a visit, and hope you do make it back for round 2!

Don't get to the Tap Room very often now, having moved to Dorch. a while back. But was back there on Saturday, enjoying the delights of the IPA. Of course I got some takeaways. There was an unopened two pint bottle left that I opened and consumed a short while ago (i.e. 5 days old). Still tasted delicious. You won't get a cleaner fresher pint than Sixpenny. Well done guys!!

Having seen the review in the Daily Mail for the pub and staying nearby for the weekend we went for a couple of pints and found the most fantastic pub right in the yard of a working farm. The beer was great and the owner challenged a customer to Sing For His Beer. The customer from Poole about 20 / 30 miles away agreed to sing and the whole place stopped to listen. Bye the way the Pub is the smallest in the Country and most people have to stand outside but the atmosphere was great a real British experience.

Picked up a 4 pinter of Cranborne Chaser for £10 on a Monday between 5pm and 6pm - a very tasty drink indeed. Between us, it went down too nicely so should have bought 8 pints!

Hi Gralor69 Kind review - thank you. Making this place feel like a proper, old world pub is exactly hat we had in mind so we are really glad you feel that way. Also great to hear you like the beers as much as we like brewing them. Hope to see you again soon All the best The Sixpenny Brewery Team

This is a great place for picking up a good selection of beers to take away, or have a quick one. It shows how good it is as it is always packed.

As a previous reviewer has commented it is a shame it's not open for longer.

Glad you like what we do. As I mentioned to the last reviewer, the hours will be much longer, and for 5-6 days per week, once we open our new bar and shop in Cranborne. That's probably going to be early September, and our new hours will be on Tripadvisor as soon as we know them. Cheers.

A rare visit from "up north" to Cranborne, to start a walking holiday, we had half a day to acclimatise (!) and chose to have a little amble to this brewery! It turned out to be an experience not to be missed and, be warned, consumed twice as much as we intended! Beer and banter excellent and loved the odd intrusion from the possessed radio and other pub clutter! Watch out for the banned word of the day, plus list of unpopular beverages!! Mecca!

Thanks for your generous comments - and I'm glad our Southern beer seems to have compared well against your Northern pints! Hopefully we'll see you again when you are next on your rambles!

Spent a pleasant hour here this week. It's well signposted from Cranborne, and has copious amounts of outdoor seating.

The beers I tried (Best, Gold, IPA) were all good though disappointingly the Gold was only available bottled (it was a tad too warm too).

Hi Squarebear99 Thank you so much for taking the time to review us and for your honest comments and feedback. Although we do our very best to keep up with the demand for our beers unfortunately we do sometimes run short, despite our best efforts. Our bottled beers are pretty good (I hope you agree?) but can never truly replicate a proper pint off the pumps. We don't typically keep bottled beer stock in the fridge as they are mostly sold for people to takeaway. However you will be pleased to hear that, since your feedback, we have now started to keep a small supply of each of our available bottled beers chilled to a perfect 12°C for occasions such as you found yourself in. Hopefully you will return and find all of our draught beers available next time, along with a seasonal or 'exclusive' that you might not have had the pleasure of trying before. We look forward to seeing you soon . Thanks again for your help in making Sixpenny Brewery a better place for all. All the best Lyall Dew General Manager & Head Brewer Sixpenny Brewery
