A very average and somewhat run down play site. Interesting that there are no photos of Carterton itself which is an ugly mishmash of incongruous buildings adorned on the outskirts by ever spreading mass housing estates. If Oxfordshire ever needs an enema it would begin at Carterton.

It was a lovely place to visit. Plenty of space and we found a picnic bench in a nice spot. The only issue was the toilets. 3 showed as vacant. I put a 20p in one but the door didn't open, so put a 20p in the 2nd which also did not open. A lady tried the 3rd which also did not open.

Large country park, getting well established. Lots of open space as well as a variety of paths to follow. An adventure play park at one end next to the carpark with a zip wire, trampolines, sand pit etc. There are toilets, parking and a small shopping precinct in the houses close by.

This park has a great range of equipment and large sandpit. It’s a nice nature reserve to walk round too and whilst we’ve visited at busy times it absorbs people well and doesn’t feel too crowded. Now it has toilets too which makes it perfect for a small trip with the little people. Only downside is there is no cafe on site, if we knew the area better we might know of one nearby but unfortunately we are yet to work that out! We do travel about half an hour to come here and never regret it as it’s a great change to usual parks near us and has lots of different bits to play on that the children enjoy.

Still dangerous equipment. My 5 year old granddaughter scratched her hand on a screw projecting out of a handle on the sea saw. Then she got a splinter from the spring toy!

All equipment needs urgent attention!

Love walking through this park, and seeing the trees changing colour during the seasons, and all the dog walkers.

This is a great place for dog walkers and families with young kids. The play park is fenced off and dog free so no worries there. There is lots of space for dogs to get a good run too. Just be a little wary of the open access to the nearby housing estate if your dog has the tendency to escape.
