A nice little station and train ride but far too expensive for the length of the journey. One way took only 10 minutes. You will stop at a kid’s park called New Mills which looks very run down and you can either get off there...More

Enjoyed our time here. Line is very pretty and peaceful. Although the line is not that long, you can get off and have a walk or let the kids run round for a while before catching the next train back an hour later. There is...More

A lovely way to spend a spare afternoon - the staff were very friendly and the kids loved the day. The on site tea room also does the best clotted cream you'll taste for miles :)

My husband and I visited here with our pooch whilst on holiday. It was £10.75 each for our tickets and 50p for the pooch (we could go up and down the line as many times as we wanted on these tickets). We travelled to the...More

Nice little railway with good atmosphere. The line is fairly short but the station at the start is well preserved and ticks all the right boxes for an era gone by. Engines aren't from the original line but it's fun for the little kids.

Visited the railway today and it was good to pass an hour. Cost £10 each to go on the steam train which went 5 miles then back again. You could do it a few times but not really a lot to see. Museum is quaint...More

Me and my wife visited the railway on a whim after visiting another attraction in North Devon, we have to say we were very impressed by the operation - the locomotives and carriages are wonderfully cared for, and the whole station exudes atmosphere. The museum...More

Very enjoyable steam railway, tucked away a bit but a real little treasure. The guard on train made it extra special for our young children, getting them involved. Plus showed us round his classic car.
