I never tried kitesurfing before, but once I’ve heard that Mui Ne is a surfers paradise, I decided to search for a good kitesurfschool. As I walked along the beach, I found multiple surf schools but they all focussed lots on the price(deals) and time pressure. When I saw the little bamboo hut from Flyboard Mui Ne Kiteboarding School, I immediately got a good feeling; there were multiple (professional) kitesurfers preparing in front of the school on the beach, people who just got out of the water sat together at the table under the palm trees, and the staff was constantly around and happy. Tom, the owner of the place, surrounds himself with good people, family, professional staf and a lovely dog ;).

I decided to start with a 5 hours beginners course, and added one more hour afterwards. I really felt comfortable and extremely safe during my lessons. I could take breaks whenever I needed them, so eventually my hours were spread over 4 days and since Tom really wanted me to ride on the board, he gave me some extra time to practice more.

Flyboard Mui Ne Kiteboarding School really made my experience in Mui Ne, but most importantly; it inspired me to go further with kitesurfing, now I have the basics learned at this amazing place. I felt home at the Mui Ne beach, and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. And otherwise, just pass by and have a chat - you will feel immediately the vibe that will make you feel comfortable.

A friend recommended us to come to this kiteschool and we didn't regret this decision. We stayed there for 3 weeks and it felt like family to us from the beginning on. Tom the very helpful owner introduced us to the spot and always gave us some good advice concerning wind, waves and so on. The school is lokated at the very beginning of the about 2 km long kitebeach. So it is the perfect place if you don't like it crowded. The beachboys are always around and very helpful with launching and landing your kite. The price for beachuse, shower, beachboys and all the other services you get is extremly fair. Tom even bought me a huge birthdaycake. I don't know were else I would find such a warmharted Kiteshoolowner like him.
I can totally recommend this Kitespot to everybody.

I'm would recommend 10/10. Tom the owner is very funny and always trying to make everyone happy. I couldn't wish for a better welcome, as I'm traveling alone the staff and people are so nice that I felt really at home. Every eavening we had a drink with the sunset and there's always a group going out for dinner together like a real kitesurfing family! Especially during Christmas and new years everyone stayed and we had a big bbq on the beach.
During my one week lessons I learned a lot and had a great time kiting with good wind ☀ I never want to leave anymore. As this is the first spot on the beach where you can kitesurf the location is perfect! With more room to go out and enjoy than further downwind and less shore break too.

We just came to muine for kiting, it‘s our second time here, but the first time that we found a new home. The owner, Tom, is just such a kind and helpful person. From the first day on he made us feel very welcome, made us the best price and was always looking that we are safe. But not only that, he even invited us for a beer in evenings and made sure that we are having a good time. That‘s why I cannot understand at all the previous bad review of the lebanon girl, it must be a lie and i don‘t think it happened what she described, that‘s not the Tom i met.
Moreover the location is just perfect because it‘s the first school on the beach, so we had a lot of place. So if you ever go to muine - this is definitely the place where you have to spend your kiting time!
Thank you Tom for everything, you made our holiday a time which we will never forget! <3

I have rather mixed views on this place. It was the first school I visited as it was located on the beachside of joes bar and there is a walkway from the high street to the beach. "Tom" the owner welcomed us and said we were welcome to use here as a base, that he didn't want any money just to maybe give the beach hand a few dollars, this seemed very reasonable and chose to pay well. I wasn't interested in lessons as I am a BKSA qualified instructor in the uk.
First thing I noticed was that the location was not ideal. The beach is so narrow that safe launching and landing is difficult. My first launch I had to stand within the resorts grounds with my kite and lines heading out to the sea. Although not comfy I was confident to do this. When landing I'd have to aim my kite to the beach whilst in deep water with the waves breaking. I managed this but imagine to some it would be scary and very dangerous. My girlfriend was so worried about the shore dump (because of the angle of the beach the waves dumped almost instantly as you walked into the water. These were about 4 foot) that she sailed her kite straight into a tree. There is no space for mistakes here.
At first hand the staff seemed helpful but I soon realised that no one seemed to have much of a clue. They all acted as if they knew a lot but in fact gave varying and conflicting information between them. One would say one thing and others something else. An instructor who was working a season there admitted that he had no formal training and just picked things up!!!
Our accommodation was not the beach side of the road so had to use this walk way to get to the beach so we were still prepared to use here. However after a few days my partner and I changed accommodation to a place just a few doors down from this school. We launched from there and thought nothing of it. I think tom thought that I had gone to one of his competitors so changed his tone completely. It would seem that we were no longer welcome. Before he and his staff were very friendly, now cold with not even a smile. We felt very unwelcome, such a change from before and a surprise to me as I'd been financially generous. I can self land but couldn't do so on this beach as it's too narrow and you have to do so from in deep wave breaking water so needed assistance. I was now not privy to this service and had to kite further down to the larger beach so I could self land. I found his behaviour unprofessional and dangerous. If he treated others like this it could have had more serious consequences.
Summary: regardless of the lack of professionalism the location of this school is far from ideal with much safer options available. If you want to see an owner constantly showing off then go here.
If your looking for something safe in a professional environment go further down the beach (the Russian end) and there are many choices. I've heard good things from many of the schools there.

The core place to loose your time and money. Sorry mate you have to be responsible to lead a kite school and know the minimum basics about IKO regulations and here it's not the case!

One of the worst kite's school in Muine: narrow beach(even by low tide) difficult and dangerous to manage a kite, staff irresponsible and incompetent teaching you the minimum as possible in vietglish. welcome back my friend with more dough.
There's better schools up west of Muine.
