Good option for those with little experience in Vietnamese cooking. High level introduction to a range of classic dishes and ingredients, in the manner of TV cooking shows. Everything is already cut, measured and ready to go in little bowls. You will cook your own dishes but you won’t learn hands-on how the critically important stock for Pho is prepared. There is a lot crammed into a few hours, and it feels rushed (even bossed around) at times.
This being said, it was an entertaining morning and the food tasted great. The staff to guest ratio is impressive, ensuring everyone is advancing without a glitch in a friendly and professional way. They even assigned a personal helper to our 7-year old so that he was able to cook at his own station.
Overall, recommended as a nice family outing. Just don’t expect to return home as a master of Vietnamese cuisine.

Very friendly and professional staff. I enjoyed the market trip a lot, they helped me to buy some sauces and spices. On a market we've tried so delicious food and drinks with interesting explanation. During cooking class we had enough time for cooking ang for eating;) Thank you very much for such a nice experience in Mui Ne!

It was 35 dollars each so quite expensive if you are a backpacker but it's worth every penny! You get like 4 meals! Taxi drive to market etc!

You start off in a market where you get your produce from and taste different things. Then you go back and cook either menu a or menu b. I really wanted to learn how to make pho so I chose menu a.

The teachers were very patient and informative and it was fun. We all got pictures with our creations and of course we gt to eat them. After two of the dishes we created we all started to get full. We took the rest home in a takeaway container.

The cuts of meat they use in all the dishes are very good so you don't have to worry about eating fatty bits or weird cuts!

My pho was the best id tasted! It was also really fun to learn how to make a rose out of a tomato and roll rice paper rolls!

I would reccomended doing this - you get a little recipe book so you can make it all again at home :)

Haha thank you Fabio for your review. Yes, I told you not to eat anything before the class start! You didn't believe me at the start but luckily you took my advice. It was nice having you & hope you will join us sometime again in the future. For now, enjoy making that Vietnamese chicken curry at home. Send us some pictures on how you got on! Definitely go for the option with visiting the market first - that was very cool. This class is a great way of spending your day. Great alternative to kitesurfing when there is no wind. Our master-chef was very friendly and took time to explain everything. All the uncool bits of cooking are done for you by master-chef's assistants so you can just have fun. And really - do not have breakfast before!

25 dollars pp. Four dishes demo'ed. Three made by ourselves and two sauces.. a little fake due to some pre prepared sauces etc but should all be reproducible at home. Good value for the two hours! Also an option to visit mui ne market. Charming staff.. awesone tasting results. Very pleased.

We booked this course as part of our stay in Mui Ne. The location is set above another shop and is modern and clean. We did this with our Son and Daughter and it was a great way to spend a morning. The people there (Hen gap Lai, Quinn, Tran, Muoi, Thi and Liz) were all great. The class itself was well organised and fun. Though, suggest you don't have breakfast before as there is a lot to eat! We particularly enjoyed the trip to the local market where we where introduced to local food that we otherwise may not have tried. To cap off a great morning, they then presented us with a cake for our 25th wedding anniversary!? Have no idea how they knew, but it was very touching.

Went along to the Mui Ne cooking school today ran by Liz. My two Vietnamese cooking teachers were welcoming and so so friendly. Upon arrival we headed in a local taxi to the local market located only 5 mins away, where my teachers both bought loads of street food for me to taste / try. The smells, sights and sounds of the bustling market were an eye opener. All the street food cooked or recommended was delicious. Then we headed back to the school which was very clean, tidy and modern. Here we learned to cook various spring rolls, red curry, bbq pork with crispy salad and a lovely Vietnamese desert. The teachers were both on hand all the time to make sure I never burnt or ruined my dish. The owner Liz popped in to say hello and make sure we all had a great day. Have to say I really enjoyed the class, the booking process was also slick / easy. Thanks so much ladies for an amazing day. :-)

How nice to hear you had a wonderful day and managed to cook the various Vietnamese dishes. I liked the way you described your feedback.... "the bustling market is indeed an eye opener with it's smells, sights and sounds". Especially if you are here for the first time it is quiet an experience. Great to hear you enjoyed the class and hope to maybe see you some time back again for the second menu. Have a wonderful day and thank you for taking the time to write us a little review. Much appreciated. Liz Mui Ne Cooking School Team

I wish I could give it 10 stars! You must take part in the shopping experience prior to the cooking lesson where you get to experience an authentic Vietnamese food market and purchase some of the ingredients for the days meals. The chef was so funny and knowledgeable and entertaining, and the food was delicious. Totally worth the money and I have seriously considered doing it for a second time during this same visit.
