Went to a three hour session with Chief Instructor Matt and my 12 year old kid. It was gusty wind with 18-20 knots and heavy waves, but instructor was dead serious about all details regarding safety, and we felt secure both on- and off- shore. Had a perfect session. Included in the price is also a theory session each afternoon together with other participants. Highly recommended!

I went to Mui Ne for a kite surfing trip in the hope of bettering myself to become more independent with safety being one of biggest concerns knowing the potential dangers this sport holds. I was lucky enough to meet an instructor called Andy who instilled me with the confidence that this was the right school to go with.
I was very happy I did because everyone I met was super friendly, knowledgeable, fun and safety conscious who clearly love their jobs. My instructor was an Irish man called Barry who was more than patient and was dead easy to get on with and made the lessons enjoyable whilst having a laugh along the way.
I even got to see him enter a big air competition which, more than convinced me he knew what he was doing. They also have a tech session with Matt the manager at the end of the day where you can learn some theory which, is so useful and is included in the package and it allows you to have a drink and socialise with the other students and instructors. They are serious about their kite surfing but down to earth and friendly with it which, makes this a great place for anyone wanting lessons.
It was a great experience for me and would like to thank you all particularly Barry my instructor. Cheers Ollie

We recently stayed across the street from Jibes beach club. My girlfriend, myself, and her parents quickly made it our local hang out to eat breakfast, enjoy a few drinks & also have dinner. The staff are amazing and attentive, they have great food and fantastic Happy hour promotions. You can relax in the sun and watch people wind surfing, or sit inside and watch whatever sport is on the tv at the bar (the Australian open in our case)! They are very accommodating to all your needs, always welcoming you with a smile and seeing you off with the same! The cocktails are great and the man who makes them is a true gentlemen and one of the town’s gems! Also the manager Chris is superb and will look after you fantastically. 10/10 go and visit, you won’t be disappointed🇮🇪

I can warmly recommend the jibe’s kitesurfing school to anyone who is serious about learning how to kitesurf. They really care about their students and are passionate about it themselves 🪁 Within four lessons (2.5 hours each) I learned the basics and was able to control my kite, self rescue, upwind body drag and ride the board 🙌 The most important thing was that I felt comfortable with the technics learned to help myself in any situation. A big thanks goes to my instructor Berry, who pushed and motivated me throughout the entire time! Cheers mate

Matt did a great job in getting us absolute beginners up and windsurfing in no time at all. He's a great instructor and was very patient with our 15 year old daughter, who was scooting around by herself after about 45 mins and very confident after only two lessons. Matt's teaching location was very sheltered and flat, but with more than enough wind for us. Jibe's is also an excellent place for a post-windsurf debrief with Matt over a beer, and for a meal with the family. I can highly recommend both Matt’s instruction and Jibe's.

This place packs a lot; wind-, kite-, sup and -surf lessons or rental, there’s restaurant and surf shop included as well. I rented windsurfing gear (Starboard and Severne) which definitely showed signs of wear, tear and repair. However it was sufficient enough for me and changing gear due to the increasing wind wasn’t a problem. With $18 per hour, I found it to be reasonable priced. Staff was friendly and explained the different conditions at the spot. Don’t expect big waves or shore break here and when I was there the wind was rather gusty. The banh mi they have was tasty and the overall atmosphere is inviting to stay longer after a session. So yeah, I’d recommend it.

There are many kitesurfing school in Mui Ne, not a surprise, some schools will take any opportunity to get their students into the water, sometimes safety was not the priority for many.
I felt really safe learning kitesurfing with my instructor Matt, he not only cares about the safety of his own students but also the people on the beach. I learned how to enjoy kitesurfing in a very responsible way both for myself and people around me.
My second instructor Barry, he is a star! He is so encouraging and supportive. I was really afraid of the big waves in Mui Ne, he spent loads of time with me in the water just to make me feel comfortable in the water, I was able to overcome the fear and enjoy my personal progress after each lesson with him! Really amazing!
The bonus is the tech session everyday, a great time to learn some technical skills & socialize with other students!
I really enjoyed my time with Jibes kitesurfing school! Thank you Matt & Barry!

Kitesurfing was always on my bucket list and over the past weekend, I finally booked a 3 day trip with my friends to go to Mui Ne to learn to kite surf. Unfortunately, since the wind conditions weren't ideal for kite surfing, my instructor Matt suggested I try wind surfing as the conditions were better suited for that. I had a blast!
I booked two private lessons with Matt on two separate days. The first day, I had a 1.5 hr lesson with him and learned how to get on the board, navigate it, and how to turn the board using the survival tack method, which involved having to get back in the water. Towards the end of the first lesson, he also taught me the jibe which is a turn where you do not need to get off the board or get in the water. The second day, I had a 2 hour lesson, during which we performed some drills so that I got more comfortable on the board. By the end of the lesson, I was able to ride around on the board.
I highly highly recommend Matt for anyone looking for a comprehensive lesson. He's been kite/wind surfing for close to 20 years, and shares a lot of his know-how with the students.

Before I came to Vietnam I already completed a kitesurfing class at the northern sea. I thought I was well prepared and quiet skilled when I came to Mui Ne but Matt teached me a lesson. He really took his time to explain techniques to get back to the shore safely after a crash and showed me a lot of tricks to set up the kite in any condition. This class at Jibes was at least twice as valuable for me learning kitesurfing compared to the class I had already completed. Thank you!

Ended up coming to Jibes for breakfast, lunch and dinner during our 5 day stay in Mui Ne. The food is delicious and fresh and you can tell they really care about what they’re serving. The service is exceptional especially in comparison to their neighbor (Joes Cafe). Chris the manager was so kinda and welcoming, big shout out to him!

Hello. Sometimes there is a shorebreak in front of the shop here. If necessary, our staff can bring the windsurf gear out past the waves, and bring it back in for you. For kitesurfing, we have a big beach location nearby. Thank you
