Newly laid roads with fantastic views. Best time to be using this roads would be early mornings. The curves and bends are just a paradise for bikers. Watch out for some slow moving traffic. Sometimes can be painful to be stuck behind slow moving lorries and buses. Loads of places to stop and take pictures. Do watch out for monkeys... More

If you enter from Salem, it is this road which comes. It starts near the Lake and gives a beautiful journey thrilled with 20 Hair Pin bends. However, word of caution for first time riders on hills and people with overloaded vehicles...be careful on your uphill journey as few bends are quite steep and may require to run the vehicle... Awesome road, great view, great climate. Enjoyed the drive on this road. lots of curves and sharp turns. It has total of 21 hair pin turns to reach to the top. You also find few waterfalls on the way and the best part is you can even park your car and snap a memory.

If you are staying for few nights in Yercaud and donot know what to do after visiting all the local sightseeing points and you are in a mood to go on a long ride with your wife/girlfriend, this is the drive, you should take, through the estates/ plantation surrounding Yeracud... This might take couple of hours... Starts next to the... More

The climb to the top was pleasant even though we had not expected such sharp curves ,quick in succession at the top. While we were having the riding pleasure ,counting monkeys and enjoying the nature's bounty en route, my husband had the driving pleasure. The road was well maintained ,though not very wide. The weather was very pleasant, and the traffic was... More

There are 20 hair pin bends which make the drive interesting. Drive cautiously and watch out for heavy vehicles, bikers and monkeys in particular. A light drizzle made the uphill drive enchanting for us. Roads are pothole free. And do remember to give way to uphill traffic first.

There is really nothing great about this drive. I guess its the only route to Yercaud from Salem. The drive should be scenic during the monsoon.. however it was very dry when I visited during the Easter weekend. Other than monkeys, you will see no other animals or birds on the way.

You no need to worry about this ghat section . It has a very good , wide road and you can enjoy your drive. But be careful about monkeys when you stop
