Platja La Punta del Fangar is a beach located in the upper region of Delta de l'Ebre in the South of Catalonia. In fact, it has some kilometers large and you can walk during 2-3hours to arrive at the end. We went to the lighthouse and see it and the very beautiful views of the sea and surroundings. Really, it was a good excursion, which ended with a bath in the sea. Walk, relax and friends: a very good evening in the region.

Quite deserted beach leading to the lighthouse of Fangar. The protected area longing the sea is nice and somehow strange as a picture. It is kept natural, do not expect any beach facilities!

Park near the cafe then set off around the back of the cafe and just follow the shoreline. Depending on the time of year you may see others walking or you may spend an hour or two completely alone. In late September you can even walk until you want a dip then just strip swim and walk on when ready. This can really be a private beach at certain times of the year. Continue walking until you reach the lighthouse then turn round and walk back. It is best to stay to the coast as there are nesting birds towards the centre and they need to be left alone. All in all a great walk at any time of year but in high winds you may be sand blasted.

It's a very amazing place where you can enjoy peacefully. It's possible to see dunes and listen the sound of water while you are walking. It's possible go there only by foot. It's easy go there: go by car or by bike util restaurant "Vascos" and later walk until Fangar lighthouse. The only incovenient can be the wind which can be very strong in this area
