Excellent museum relating the growth of Trevelin
Feb 2019 • Couples
A really well presented history of Trevelin and the role of milling in the development of the town. The museum is well maintained, very clear explanations of the exhibits in spanish, welsh and english. Very good collection of local objects, furniture and tools and implements relating to the early life of the Welsh settlers.

We caught the service coach from Esquel to Trevelin to look at the Welsh history in the region. Even though it was a Sunday, religious holiday most places were open for business.

The Museum opened it doors at 2pm and we were greeted by a very friendly English speaking guide. We toured the old mill in an hour and found it extremely interesting.

Anyone visiting this area must take time to look at this place, especially the Welsh history and what was set-up here in the late eighteenth century by the earlier settlers.

Very Interesting museum of Welsh Immigrants and Indians
Apr 2017 • Couples
Absolutely fascinating museum, very well creating the story of Welsh Immigrants including their experience in trying to survive and get along with Indian tribes and the Argentinian government. Lots of personal history and an exhibition of the equipment used in farming and processing.
The building has been successfully converted from the original mill used by the settlers.

A real treasure

The Andes Old Mill has been turned into a modern museum about the Welsh colony in the Patagonian Andes. You can spend hours learning about the region's history and its pioneering families. Must not miss it if you visit Esquel and Trvelin. By adding a trove of information about the human factor, it will widen your scope when appreciating the area's beautiful views.

An interesting place

This former mill set up by John Daniel Evans is now a museum of local artefacts used by the Welsh settlers. Unfortunately the inscriptions on the displays are all in Spanish. It would be a big improvement if these were translated into English & Welsh
