Nice lace to visit. This seems to be the only worthwhile place to get off and have a good look at if you are on the tourist jump on / jump off bus.
Nice interesting shaped, rocky outcrops and a walkway around the harbour.
Worth 1 hour of your time, (unless eating)

You see these by walking along the seafront at Acitrezza. There is a tourist pathway all the way along.

Had a half day to use before moving to a new hotel and decided to hire a small boat. Amazing time exploring the area by sea and swimming off the boat. Highly recommended.

Perfect for snorkelling and diving, the waters are incredibly clear, you can see the fish even without goggles. You can easily while away a few glorious hours swimming here.

We were driving through Acitrezza for a quick lunch after a hike at Mount Etna. We found the place so beautiful that we decided to return the next day for a swim. We rented a boat for half a day and went around the isles. The isles, set in blue waters, are very pretty. The story of Cyclops throwing a volcanic rock to kill his love rival adds to the charm of the place.
After going around the isles, we moored the boat and went swimming for a couple of hours. We swam up to one of the isles. The water was lovely and cool on a hot day. We could see a lot of fishes around the isles while snorkelling. The isles are quite rocky so please wear some footwear if you intend to walk around.

The several basalt rocks form the so-called Isole dei Ciclopi. They are natural reserve area which close from east the small bay of Aci Trezza, part of Aci Castello. On the coast there is a rocky beach.

We have parked our car on an empty spot on Via Provinciale , and took a 10 minutes walk down to the port where we discovered a large parking lot almost empty.
Make sure you have your cameras with you . Walk along the pier and find yourself a spot on top so you can easily look at the tiny rocky islands in front of you . Beautiful ! The islands look like somebody has thrown big rocks at the sea .
Later you can stroll along Via Lungomare , filled with cafes and restaurants .
You can also walk some 30 minutes to the castle of Acicastello .
