Good Place to stop.

We stopped here to see the statue and do some shopping on our way to Polulu Valley. It was worth stopping here to see the statue and take a picture with the statue.

The original statue at his birth place. Be sure to go up and read the display. We think it is life size too. It is in front of the senior center. There is parking behind if the one by the shops is full.

Pretty cool to learn the story of this statue. The statue is situated near a veterans memorial area and across and around restaurants and shopping.

Pay respects! Located adjacent to the main road, the statue is easily accessible for all. Go on May day/Lei Day for draping of lei on the statue..

Stopped here to learn the history and take some pics of this very important person in Hawaiian history. Surrounded by a beautiful town with lots of stores and delicious eateries. Highly recommend stopping by even if it requires a drive! Afterwards dine in any of the fabulous restaurants and stop in some awesome stores for a look.

Stopped by the statue and surrounding information guides on our way through town. We knew it was here and it was extremely important to my wife (from Kauai) that we make the stop. Very beautiful, and different than the others we have seen.

This was a neat little village that is off the beaten path with little art shops and small restaurants. The travel info doesn't do it justice but maybe they want to keep it a small town, it is beautiful. We of course took a few selfies with the King Kamehameha statue then took a nice drive down rte 250 which... More

This little town is well worth the stop. After viewing the statue and reading about its interesting history you can meander down main street and visit the scattering of shops, galleries and restaurants and then continue on your way and see some of the most beautiful scenery on the Island.

This area is just so beautiful. You can not imagine it - you have to see it. Down the street are quaint little shops, shaved ice stands, thrift shops, etc

As we explored the island, this was a great spot to take photos. Interesting story behind the statue. Cute little town to wander around also.
