We read about the Moreska Sword Dancing in the Lonely Planet guide and it had rave reviews, so thought we'd add it to our travel itinerary in Croatia. It's held only on Thursday evenings @ 9pm on the gorgeous island of Korcula. We were not...More

This is high energy dancing judging by the sweat pouring off the dancers! It tells through music and dance a fairly traditional tale. It’s a very impressive piece of theatre and we wouldn’t have missed it for anything. Takes place in the town at 9pm...More

The effort of the dancers for the performance was amazing. Something one should see once in a lifetime cause that was enough.

This was a fantastic show that has been choreographed through generations. These guys aint foolin around. Sure, it's a manufactured story, but it tells of an incident based on true history. These men are trained to perfection, but occasionally there is a mis-step. We noticed...More

We have vacationed in Korcula for years and finally made it to the Moreska performance. It is an entertaining show and provides a bit of historical flavour.

Very unique and passionate fight between two armies for a woman. All time love story presented in a passionate dance fight. Beautiful! Shame there are no more performances.

We really enjoyed the 3 separate parts of the show. But the highlight was definitely the sword show which kept the crowd entertains and with the pamphlets highlighting what was being portrayed it meant we could all follow what was going on. Real treat!

We went one night to get some local flavour. Costumes were very colourful. There was approx half the time spent with a group singing local songs and the other half with a drama which involved dancing, and sword fencing. Just over an hour but I enjoyed...More

I chanced upon this entertainment in front of the Cathedral. It was being filmed for some reason. I enjoyed the choreography even though they had to keep stopping for re-takes & seemed a bit unco-ordinated at times.

You buy the tickets by the door. It’s on the left of the big stairs in Old Town. Be there 30 minutes ish before the show starts so you’ll get a good seat (on the left side).

Tickets are available in many travel agencies in the town, too. You'll spot them easily when walking around the Korcula town.
