This wont be on a map , and its probably off the tourist trail if you don't know its here. Stand by the bend in the river and look towards the church - this is England!! Magic.

Hemingford Abbotts adjacent to Hemingford Grey is on the river and you can see the best view of the church there from the end of the high st, The church itself is well cared for and located in a picturesque site.

The quintessential English church is a wonderful riverside village. There is an interesting story about the tower (or rather, lack of). Well worth a visit. How many churches can you moor alongside?

The spire collapsed during a hurricane in 1741 and instead of being rebuilt was replaced with eight ball finials at its base. The church is still in active use with up to three services on a Sunday and many more in the week.
