What a wonderful excursion! We had a blast with Shay and his horses. Lovely ride down the beach, incredible riding a horse in the ocean, and relaxing walk back. Tour was running a little behind, but Jordan in the office did a great job keeping us updated, and the ride went off perfectly. Shay was not only an entertaining host but obviously very skilled with the horses and did a great job helping both experienced and non-experienced guests. Highly recommend to riders and non-riders visiting Grand Cayman!

**Incredible Horseback Riding Experience in the Caymans!** We recently went on a horseback riding tour in the Cayman Islands, and it was an unforgettable experience! I was nervous about horseback riding, but our tour guide, Shaye, was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly patient and kind, taking the time to reassure me and make me feel comfortable every step of the way. Shaye truly went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. His calm demeanor and expertise made all the difference, and I was able to enjoy the ride despite my initial fear. The beautiful scenery along the beach and the gentle, well-trained horses made the tour even more special. If you're in the Caymans and want to experience horseback riding, I highly recommend this tour—especially if you're a bit nervous like I was. Shaye and his team are wonderful

What an amazing excursion. The horses were so calm and soothing and it made the experience breathtaking. Shea, our guide was awesome. Funny and informative. He was so in sync with the horses and made the trip worth it. He is very helpful. If visiting the island for the day or week this is a must. We haven’t been on horses for over 30 years and Shea made the excursion so comfortable. Thank you!!!!!

This was the highlight of our trip! Shea made us feel very comfortable and gave great direction. The horses are so well trained and calm. Went at a great speed, made it very enjoyable. Would recommend this to anyone even if horses aren’t your thing, this will make you a horse lover. We would do this 10 times over. Beautiful scenery, full hour ride. Calm, relaxing, romantic. I’m an experienced horse rider/owner but have never ridden a horse swimming so I thought this would be fun to try. The horses are well cared for, the guide was very considerate of each participant’s horse experience, knew his horses well, and paired each rider well. We walked along the beach about a mile, where we dismounted and saddles were removed for the swimming. Then got back on bareback with the guide’s assistance and rode out into the ocean. It was a low tide and I was on a fairly tall horse, so my horse didn’t actually get to swim, to do so would have taken us further from shore than I was comfortable, but the feel of balancing bareback with the gentle waves was still really fun! I loved it and would definitely do this again! Well worth it!

I highly recommend Spirit of the West. Our guide Shay was terrific. I appreciated that they quickly and proactively gave us a partial refund when weather didn't allow us to complete the full tour. I'll be back and will definitely book with them again.

Such a unique experience. Our guide Paul was super nice and willing to just chat as we rode along the edge of the water. This was such a laid back and enjoyable experience. The view was of course fantastic and the horses were so docile. My kids are 13 and 16 and they LOVED it!! Definitely some to do while on Grand Cayman.

Spirit of the West was top notch for horseback riding whether you’re a veteran or a beginner, Shea made sure to make sure everyone was knowledgeable and comfortable on their horses and he tailored each horse to its’ rider. Shea (butter) was the best guide we could have asked for, top of the line horses and top of the line attitude. Horses were very friendly and the experience was just incredible. Our family absolutely loved our beach ride and ocean swim! Our guide, Shay, was amazing. He quickly sized up each of our personalities and customized the ride for us individually. Knowing that our daughter is an experienced rider, he challenged her to a race on the beach afterwards. She pulled out the win and Shay’s reaction was priceless!
