Never thought I would be riding a horse on the beach. Especially, on an island, but Spirit of the West gives you that opportunity! It was a great experience! Quiet and intimate moment, riding horses along the beach with my cousin, a great friend of...More
First of I will say I'm so glad we found this. Jordan took care of us and his horses like I haven't seen before. The venue was a total surprise. The water looked like a flat lake instead of the open sea - which is...More
Amazing excursion!! From the moment we met our driver, we were made to feel comfortable. I was extremely stressed because I was delayed on our tender over from our ship but she was understanding. I enjoyed the horses and the knowledge each person had to...More

My girlfriend (actual rider) and I (just adequate enough) like to go riding on beaches when we vacation. It's always a good time. This one, though, was above and beyond the others we have done.
Jordan was our guide and knew all about the island....More
My girlfriend and I went on a ride hosted by Jordan. Unfortunately, Jordan quickly began a romantic relationship w/ my girlfriend that continued throughout the course of our week long trip. Just a heads-up for guys who want to avoid a less-than-ideal experience while vacationing...More

We are interested in Dolphin cove, stingray city, and spirit of the west.... I'd really like to know if dolphin cove is if dolphin cove is all it cracked up to be? I have checked into this experience with other companies in different locations and usually you spend the majority of your time learning about the dolphins and very little time doing the hands on stuff. I want something more hands on... As far as stingray city, we'd like to go with a small company as we don't like being on a...More

Hi everyone. Planning our trip in June and here’s a draft of our itinerary. Wanted to get some of your comments. We are staying in Seven Mile Beach. I am still thinking if we need a rental car, I think we will, as taxi rates are expensive. Thursday - Arrive at noon, check in - Pick up groceries - Spend afternoon walking around/under an umbrella on SMB - Dinner at Al Fresco in West Bay Friday - Plan a trip to Stingray City. Is this doable in the morning? - Maybe visit...More

Anyone have info on Spirit of the West horseback riding? (2 Replies)
We are going to Cayman in November and would love to go horseback riding on the beach. Have read about Spirit of the West and been on the website. Interested to know if anyone has used this company and is it worth paying the additional money to go out into the ocean with the horses. Decision between the horses or the dolphins.

I have done both. I didn't realize you had to pay more to go into the sea. We rode down along the water for quiet a while, looped out into the water (it was shallow but absolutely lovely) and then back along the beach to the stable. Between to the two the experience with the dolphins had much more impact on me personally. I went to Dolphin Cove and did the package with the most interation. It was phenomenal -- off the charts. The horses were fun but not in the same league. That said I have...More
