Parking was challenging on a Sunday. The loos were out of action. The cafe / bar was understaffed (we left after being ignored for 15 mins despite having a reservation). The food at SP comes from the Indian you pass on the way up from the carpark so we went there for food & facilities instead. It was a greatly anticipated visit while in the area but fell very short.

Fascinating history behind this small local Distillery. It’s set it the most beautiful location and the gin is pretty amazing too!

We did the gin tour on Saturday 20th November and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Paul was our tour guide and was very informative.
We would recommend this tour and the location of the bar is ideal for a visit on a sunny day.
All staff that we encountered were very friendly and the tour was very good value.
Thank you

A fun grown up experience, really interesting tour around the distillery, not too keen on drinking neat gin but there was no pressure if you didn't want all of the gin. Rustic and family run.

A really enjoyable and informal tour of the distillery including the Pool itself and learning about the history and myths. Our tour guide was excellent and was very informative about all the different gins. We tasted plenty of them and were pleased we had walked there and were staying overnight nearby! We stayed after the tour and a visit to the shop to enjoy a couple of gin cocktails on the terrace with a view of the Pool. Perfect way to spend an afternoon!

Visited Thursday morning , need ti to park in the car park at the bottom of the drive. Very informative staff, lots of gin tasting, gulde was excellent, told the story of the myth of the silent pool. Bottles are themed around the ingredients and a couple of surprises too. We'll worth a visit

After two years we finally got to use a voucher for a visit for two to the Silent Pool Gin Factory.
Restrictions from Covid had meant the tours had been cancelled. It was good to hear that during the main pandemic the Silent Pool had turned attention to manufacturing hand sanitiser instead of gin.
A pleasing introduction to the working of the distillation process , along with the history , folklore of the Silent Pool water feature that sits to the side of the once old cowsheds.
There is work in progress as the rented site upgrades to more processing plant and storage facilities.
The present surroundings do look a bit run down, but the quality of the different cordials and types of gin processed are of a high quality.
Your ticket for the experience gives you a five pound off a shoo purchase over £40. We purchased a litre of the original Silentpool gin and a 70cl of the Citrus as they didn’t have a litre bottle.
Friendly staff made the experience more worthwhile and good to be able to taste all the Gin Cordials.
Be aware of the width restriction on entry to the car park off the dual carriageway . My cars width were a very tight squeeze on entry. On the other hand the exit was a dream.
Look out for the tasty cheese, Naughty Vicar! And the delicious Indian meals served by the Miranda establishment. Both establishments friendly service.

The tour of the Silent Pool and history of that place and how it was formed was really interesting. However the rest was overlong and the gin tasting felt routine and over rehearsed. The small amounts of gin given in tiny medicine cups were insufficient. The least they should give you having spent £20 is one proper gin and tonic.
We went from the tour onto the terrace and altho it was late on a Saturday it would have been quicker to tell us what was available on the menu so many items were not in stock. The price they felt able to charge for opening packets of olives crisps and breadsticks was astonishing.
