Disgusted
Oct 2021 • Friends
Landlord very off and barred me and my friend because, and his words, “we drink across the road at Masons Arms”. Used very bad language, and appeared drunk or under another influence. Never ever been treat like that because I use a rival service. Contacted brewery about their landlord and heard nothing back from them.

Lunch
Oct 2020
Excellent lunch and service. Recommended. Warm welcome. Five stars. Scampi and chips and mushroom soup and wine and bitter and what’s more ... dog friendly! What’s not to like?

Went in here every night when up here, friendly bar, we had a couple of baggettes, beef and pork and the chips were homemade and great.

The rudest service
Oct 2019
I'm always reluctant to write a bad review however the way my 3 friends and I were spoken to by a member of staff on Friday night just took our breath away. He was extremely rude and obnoxious and refused to serve us.

We think it could have been because he realised we had come across the road from the Masons Arms as we were too late to dine over there. We'd checked what time they finished serving food & were told it was 8:30pm. We arrived at 8:15pm and were told aggressively that we would not be served.

Our group ranges from ages 45 to in our sixties & we were sober. We had had a hideous trip from Lancashire, were starving & felt like we'd been "thrown out" of the pub by a man who was also looked like in he was in his sixties.

My question is - what business these days can throw away an opportunity to sell £100+ of food a d drink?

Shame on you Hermitage Inn!

Oct 2019 • Couples
My partner and I have been coming regular for the excellent carvery on a Sunday they are delicious with a choice of three meats and an excellent selection of potatoes and vegetables the gravy is proper gravy with meat in it, perfect over the giant Yorkshire pudding, the staff and chef are very polite and accommodating. The setting is very relaxed aswell we will be back on Sunday again.

A warming lunch break
May 2019 • Couples
A damp dull chilly May day but Heritage Inn provided a warm welcome after exploring Warkworth Castle

Good pub grub I chose Cumberland sausage, mash and all the trimmings

Not cheap but very tasty and the atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried

I did not have my dog with me but the Inn is dog friendly as the greyhound sitting at the next table proved !

Lovely Sunday Carvery
Mar 2019 • Couples
We have been to Warkworth 3 times now and once had the mince and dumplings as a snack which was very tasty. This time we decided on a Sunday lunch. We did not realise that there was an upstairs restaurant for the carvery. It is very popular and very reasonable at £9.45. Can highly recommend it
