Without doubt, Logan Knight the course instructor just nailed the serious / fun mix to the mast. I now have confidence framed with caution that I could take my family on a charter boat on inshore waters and give them a holiday to remember. Antigua is utterly beautiful and in a choice between this course on say, the West Coast of Scotland and here there is one winner.

Our instructor, Emily, was amazing - so competent, patient, and fun. There aren’t many options for RYA certa in the Caribbean, and I felt incredibly lucky to have OnDeck guide me through my Day Skipper. I look forward to going back for my Yacht Master!

Booked myself onto OnDeck's 65 foot racer, Spirit of Juno for a few days of racing on the Mount Gay Round Barbados Race. I found owner Peter to be very flexible to deal with even though I had a fairly inflexible timetable but he was great to deal with. Once onboard I found the crew to be very professional and relaxed and the race around Barbados and the parties and prize giving were absolutely brilliant. Definitely would recommend OnDeck to anyone and I'll certainly be back!

I should have known not to use this company when I saw one of their boats sail out of control ver into another smaller vessel slicing it in half sinking it in the 2022 New Years regatta in Antigua.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt which was my mistake.

This company is run by a bunch of seemingly nice people who shouldn't be allowed to sail on the ocean let alone teach people how to do so.
They will take your money first and anything that happens after that is out of your control. Im just lucky all I lost was my time and money.

I don't recommend using Ondeck if you care about, safety, hygiene, value your time and money, quality of education, or anything that you may hope to receive from a marine training company.

We had sent our contact details but we were not sent any details other than joining instructions were that we should be at the cruise terminal at St Johns at 8.30.We got there to find that the event takes place at Falmouth(1 hour drive away).
As we were leaving the landing stage to start the tour, the organiser (who was standing ashore )shouted ' so you'll be back in 2.5 hours' but you can pay for longer if you like' .We had paid for a 4hour tour- we were cheated out of 1.5 hours. I suspect the 4hours advertised includes the journey by car between St Johns and Falmouth -very misleading.
The event itself was very enjoyable .The boys on the boat were great ,but poor organisation spoiled the day for us.

Cheyenne and Sadiq (I hope I spelled their names correctly) were very knowledgable, funny and made this experience one we will all remember. Our family included a 19 year old up to 57 years of age. We were allowed to pull the 'ropes' or as I did sit back and enjoy racing across the water like I have never experienced. We did not get to race another boat so instead Cheyenne and Sadiq took us over to Nelson's Dockyard. Even though it rained while we were out it do not diminish our enjoyment. Once back at the office we were provided the best rum punch I have ever had. Thank you Cheyenne, Sadiq and Peter for making our first experience in Antigua so memorable.

We had a wonderful day trip with Ondeck.

Glorious weather with great friendly and skilled crew resulting in a fantastic sail that satisfied every one from the more lazy types (me!) to the more seasoned sailors amongst us.

Whilst on holiday in the lovely Island of Antigua my husband and I were given the opportunity to go Yacht Racing with a company called Ondeck.

Having never raced before we really didn’t know what to except but i have to say that it was a really brilliant experience and so much fun.

Sometimes it was a little Scary, especially when the boat tips on its side but that makes it all the more fun.

If you do get a chance to have a go i would definitely recommend the trip and the crew on board the yacht ensure that you really get the most out of the journey.

I did my course a few weeks ago with Gary as an instructor. Very professional and kind person, great teacher and a very nice person. I feel I learned a lot during the course and had a great time. I will definitely do more courses with him. Highly recommended.

My group of 6 booked the half-day private charter during our stay in Antigua and we had an exceptional experience. Everything from booking to sailing was made easy and made our trip stress free.

The boat we were provided with was a sail boat (it was our first time on a sail boat) and the water was a bit rocky so we were all super anxious, but the captain and skipper did everything in their power to ease our anxiety and find calmer waters.

We stopped for a bit of snorkeling off of Falmouth beach and the water was very calm there. It should be noted that they only had 2 life vests, so if your group is full of non-swimmers you may want to request more.

Throughout our sailing, we were given a bit of a history lesson about some of the points of interest we were passing, which was an unexpected surprise and greatly welcomed.

If you're looking for a private sailing experience, I would definitely recommend Ondeck.

Thanks very much Melissa and pleased you enjoyed it. We will ensure there are plenty of swimming aids on in future, that was an oversight. We did carry plenty of life jackets but they are different to the ones you would use for swimming. Hope to see you again
