Amazing views and all for free!
We drove from Puerto Rico to Tejeda to Nublo on a Saturday afternoon. The hairpin bends on these roads are pretty hairy, often narrowing to 1 lane and not knowing which way the road bends until ontop of it. Don’t look down unless you want an adrenalin rush! The car park was half full. The broken, steep walking path up means that one needs good shoes and being careful where one steps. Its poorly sighposted in some areas. That said, we made it up there in Teva sandals, it taking about 25 min. The scenery at the top is absolutely amazing and the added bonus is that it is all free! If it were anywhere else theyd charge for entry into the national park area as well as parking. There is a small stand selling refreshments including fresh orange juice in the car park.

    One not to miss
Around a 1.5km walk from the car park to the rock. Uphill all the way there and while a well marked path it can be rough under foot so trainers rather than flip flops would be advised. Some shade from trees on the way but at the end you are in full sun. 100% worth the effort as the views are magnificent. There was a man with a van by the car park who sold drinks, ice cream and very good homemade sandwiches at a good price.

    Stunning views
An absolute must see! We drove the GC-1 then GC200 then GC605 then GC600 to the well sign posted Roque Nublo car park. There is several photo ops on the GC605 - stop and take them - unforgettable scenery. Path up is decent at the start but loose underfoot towards the top. Excellent view definitely worth a visit

Amazing views and worth while the trip
Amazing views and worth the trip. Tips - The drive to the trekking point can take some time and roads are steep and curvy. - From the trekking point, takes 35 minutes to the peak with some scrambling required. - Take some water and enjoy

Roque Nublo is a must see when visiting Gran Canaria. It takes about 30-40 minutes to walk up toe Roque Nublo. Don't forget the photo camera or your phone. There are som amazing pictures you can take up here!

Giant Rock and Great Views !
First, don't be confused by the diffferent times mentionned to there. It is because there are 2 ways ! If you come from the West, you can access by the easiest road which is 1km only from the parking. About 30/40mn But on the East side, it is 3.5km from the parking ! Which is +2h00 Good point if you come from the East, you will go through the Forest and see a nice Water area. The Rock itself are great and you can take amazing pictures for sure ! If you come with children, make sure you take the shortest way :-)

    What a view
Takes about an hour from the car park. Path can be steep and narrow in places so for the sure footed and mobile. I went up in trainers which was a mistake, wear walking boots or shoes. The path leads through a pine forest until you pop out on an escarpment upon which the rock sits. Views are breath taking and ice cold drinks available from the car park.

    Hiking on Gran Canaria
The mountain landscape on Gran Canaria is a great experience, and provides a varied experience of the holiday destination. We also visited Teieda, which was also a nice experience, it is recommended. But as there are a lot of cars at Rocke Nublo, the parking conditions are hopeless. We drove to the other side of the valley, parking and transportation should be planned before visiting Rocke Nublo.

    Roque Nublo visit
We’ll worth the trip. Don’t trust Google maps !! We left Playa De Mogan. Route took us on GC200, then GC605. This is a treacherous climb in places. If staying in Mogan follow GC1 to Maspalomas then GC60. It’s quite chilly up there to bring an extra layer.

    Breathtaking view
Incredible nature, from start to finish. If you would like a day away from the touristic zone this place is worth it. Nice views all the up until the parking. Fantastic landscape. Easy to find parking and a nice short enough hike to the top. The top gives you breathtaking view. Not to difficult terrain and can be walked by all.

A stunning place to hiking, considering the current situation, you walk almost alone. Due to this almost nothing is open (bars, restaurant) handle enough water with you. But it is well worth the sight of seeing the top of Mount Tenerife as well.

Started our walk from the car park & headed up the main pathway. The views as you climb through the trees are amazing & it was nice to enjoy them for a moment in the shade.
The climb does steepen & a reasonable level of mobility is needed to ascend some areas.
On reaching the Frog & The Friar the views are simply spectacular & worth every step taken the reach them.

We went here by ourselves in a rented car. The parking lot is rather small and it was completely packed despite there being fewer tourists than normally, so come early if possible. The trip to the rock is a short hike of a few kilometers, and is easy to walk without any equipment if you’re used to hiking. It is recommended to bring water especially on hot days.

The hike from road/parking is easy. We saw entire families with children and old people so if you can walk and are used to do it during 30-40min on ground and rocky path its good for you. The views are good. Try to choose a sunny day to avoid clowds that won't let you see Teide (Tenerife island) properly. The entire landscape it's like those canyons of the old far west films.

Nice walk which isn't too strenuous. We also did the circuit walk around the base which was easy to follow. We had a beautiful day with no wind and views as far as Mount Teide on Tenerife.

We got in the main car park around 9:30 on a Monday morning but by the time we left the car parks were full and there were cars parked on the road for at least 1 mile east of the car park.

I have climbed this many times and every time the views are stunning what ever the weather you are guaranteed a view you will not forget. Not for the faint hearted but not the hardest either. The paths are very easy and you see many people going up and down all the time. Only thing to note is parking when busy can be hard and a short walk from the car may be required.

We set out from Puerto de Mogan in our hire car and reached the car park at the beginning of the climb after about an hour and a half. Lovely Scenic views both on our way there and way back. From the car park the climb to the top took us about an hour. We didn’t rush. I would recommend sturdy trainers, the first part is easy but then as the climb gets steeper it becomes uneven in places. Well worth the effort. Fantastic views. Make sure you remember sun screen and water as there is very little shade up there.

Booked a coach trip via TUI which enjoyed the scenic trip up to the Roque Nublo, going via a couple of lovely little mountain villages, including Fataga, where we stopped on the way back for Tapas. It would've been brilliant to have a toilet stop there on the way up as no toilet stops anywhere else. People use the bushes and behind trees (going by the amount of tissue in these places) There is a long walk from car park to the Rock, some of it (especially the last half of the walk) needed good sturdy footwear and fitness. The coach does not stay long enough really for you to manage this walk and enjoy the views from the rock. Hubby managed it, not me, I needed more time. Best to hire a car and do it at your leisure, and probably at a time when it's quieter (early morning to avoid the heat) It's a great thing to do though.

The Roque Nublo is a huge stone ejected by a volcano that is spectacularly visible from the center of the island of Gran Canaria as a great Menhir worshiped by the ancient aborigines.
Nowadays, a pleasant trekking walk for which a great physical condition is not necessary starts from a parking lot next to the road and allows you to reach it while enjoying the most characteristic flora and vegetation of the island.
On the way, one can enjoy a multitude of fantastic views and also admire other huge blocks of smaller size also visible from a distance such as the Roque de los Frailes
Once at the top next to the Roque Nublo, the views are dreamy, you can see several of the towns of Gran Canaria, the sea in the distance and the island in front of Tenerife with Mount Teide in all its splendorç
My recommendation is to go early and if it is possible to avoid weekends because the parking lot from which the trail leaves is small and the road quickly fills up with all kinds of hikers, also as the hours go by the heat gets more
