Great for sitting and watch the sea
Jul 2021 • Couples
The beach is very long, so you can walk if youblike or just sit in somewhere quiet and enjoy the seaview.
Along the beach there are a lot hotels and bars that you can order some drink or appetizers.

Ok, but not the best Beach in Bahia
Nov 2019 • Couples
Long Beach, but nothing special. Rocks in some áreas (more south). Only few Locations with natural shadow and Palm trees. It is Caraiva with his spirit and the Bars „making“ the Beach living and to a Party Zone.

Overpriced, overrated
Jul 2019 • Family
I'll be brief. The village is small and somewhat dirty. Everything, from the welcome boat river crossing to the dinner restaurant is grossly overpriced (I am not ignoring the quality of food and service). There is an vivid culture to maximize tourists' exploitation. The beach is ordinary at best. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

Nightmare to get there by car!
Aug 2017
It takes 1 hour from trancoso to get to the other side of the river from where the beach is.

The road is a nightmare of potholes in a dirty road. A 4x4 is a must. Some parts are flooded and requires serious patience.

The town has absolutely nothing to see. Poverty and dusty.

If beach is what you are looking for take a boat or go to espelho or trancoso itself.

No worth the stress and petrol.

Lovely mix of the sea and the river
Sep 2016
Caraiva Beach it's just amazing to see how a river goes into the sea. There's plenty of space for you to take a sunbathe or catch waves. You can enjoy the hippie vibe of the place, dance forró and stare to the horizon with beautiful sunsets.

Walk during the low tide
Jul 2017 • Solo
Go for a walk during the low tide in order to see the coral reefs and enjoy the natural pools that form along the coast. It is a nice, peaceful walk.

Unspoilt little town
Mar 2017 • Couples
If you are in the area of Porto Seguro and Trancoso, a visit to Caraiva is a must. This little town is just accessible by a boat, and cars are not allowed. The beach is beautiful with little restaurants in the town.

Great beach.

All the beaches around Caravan are beautiful. The further you walk from the village the quieter they are but it is all paeceful. Lovely place to relax.

Beautiful water - lots of waves
Jun 2016 • Couples
The water here is beautiful and so is the beach. The waves get rough in the afternoon so best time to swim is in the morning

Sensacional

The beach Is amazing
Don T bring heavy baggage. You have to carry it all the time!
To reach Caraiva you have to cross the river on a canoe. And when u get there, streets are made of soft sand!
Just seat And relax at "bar da praia" . Great atmosphere. They charge a per person tax but you can eat and drink the same value.
Walk on soft sand and swim in a calm deep blue sea!
On the left where the river meets the sea
you will find an amazing view.
Great landscape with cliffes on the path to Espelho's beach.
Loved this place
Hope to be back soon.
