This was without a doubt one of the funnest things I've done while traveling! I've always wanted to try Kitesurfing but was definitely nervous because it looks so complicated (spoiler, its not). These guys are EXTREMELY professional and offer high end service from top to bottom. Their equipment is really high quality and you can tell they are trained to teach at an international standard. There were a lot of very experienced kiters who came to the beach to kite during our training which let us know Kaliantan was an awesome spot. We felt really lucky to learn there and it was so cool watching the experienced kiters doing air flips and surfing out on the far breaks. I came for a 3 day kitesurf course and ended up staying a week at Ekas Breaks Resort, hanging at Kaliantan every day! The vibe was idyllic and it was the BEST time. I recommend these guys to everyone. Definitely sign up for the whole package deal, it's worth every penny and more. They even organized a spontaneous fully loaded drinks/sunset/DJ bonfire at another beach... It was epic. This companies attention to quality and detail is unmatched by anyone else in Indonesia. Can't wait til COVID is over and I can go back for round two!!

This place is a paradise. We spent one week there and are already looking forward our next visit. Kaliantan is an empty pristine beach. The kite school is excellent with very friendly, professional and passionate instructors : Max and Sammy.
I took the full package class which I definitely recommend for beginners like me.
My boyfriend, who is more intermediate level, said it was a perfect place to improve as no crowd.
In terms of accommodation, we stayed at EkasBreaks. Awesome place. Perfect to relax after a day of kitesurfing.
The place is a little gem in the middle of nowhere with beautiful garden and nice pool.
Good food and very friendly staff that are doing everything to make your stay enjoyable.
And if one day is a day without wind, no worries, you can go surfing in the bay or rent scooter to explore the peninsula.

We strongly recommend this school wether you are a total beginner or an intermediate rider. The team is very skilled, 100% dedicated and truly committed to share their passion!!
Nice spot, shallow enough in some places and deep at other, flat and choppy, name it and you will get what you want!
A big thank to Max and team, you guys stay fresh as you are !

I love the work and focus of the instructor onto every single detail of this sport while keeping the fun in focus. I have the feeling, the teacher really enjoys his job and really wants to bring you onto the board because he knows, you will love it. That's how it has to be.
Thank you Max and Sam for this awesome experience.

Defenitivement the best spot in Indonesia, wind every day for kite surfing in the morning, what more? Furthermore the Kiteschool of Kaliantan are super cool, always ready to help, with the jetski for rescues or for lessons.
I will return without hesitation, we will not bored there!

There's not many kite spots where you can foil, ride waves and do freestyle the same day. Kaliantan gives you lots of possibilities and good wind during the season. The place is uncrowded but the people visiting are just great. So besides kiting you can have a good time chilling with amazing crew.

I came to Lombok to pick up my kitesurfing where I left off 3 years before. I tried a number of places in Kuta (Lombok) but the instructors charged a small fortune and were more concerned with taking the kite for themselves to show off to their friends than in training or guiding people. I paid the same for 2 days of terrible kiting guidance in Kuta from WhatSup Lombok and Surf Sup Lombok, than I did for Kaliantan Kitesurf. I came to Kaliantan, stayed at Ekas Breaks, and had (in my first day) the best kite-surfing training I've ever had. The instructors are more concerned with making sure you're confident with a kite and not just overpowering you to the point of being up on the board. It's a longer-term strategy but the best if you want to be a serious/ skilled kite-surfer. I cannot rate my experience more highly. I met so many fun people which was great because I was travelign alone. Also, worth mentioning that the beaches and the surf-spots are incredible. Some of the most beautiful scenery and really under-populated. I now love Kitesurfing. It's my favorite new thing in the world.

We went to Kaliantan for a week this August and had a brilliant time kiting for hours every day! I was mostly on my 12m but others were their 6ms and 9ms. You can even surf in the morning and kite the afternoon. Will surely go again.
