There are quite of few lovely walks near by Dunoon with interesting trees and plants. This park is not free of charge and you have to check the opening times. Your tour will take you to foreign countries, you will be in Asia, South America or in Redwood country. The walks are well maintained. To know you have paid the... More

We called upon this place whilst out walking and we were very pleased with the quality of the gardens. They have an amazing variety of trees and plants from all over the world and 6 miles of footpaths to keep you occupied for hours.

Lovely collection of trees and rhododendrons, with other highlights including the viewpoint and the restored fernery. Be prepared for a lot of walking to get the best from your visit though

This is one of a few botanic gardens we visited in the area and well worth it. The garden is very well designed and kept without looking over-cultivated. The Victorian fernery is worth a look, as are the views from the top of the garden. It is probably enjoyed best when the rhododendrons are in bloom.

We visited in May just as the plants were about to bloom. The Gardens are very well laid out with paths. This is a great day out if your in Argyle and near Dunoon or Loch Eck. Fro the Gardens cross over to visit Pucks Glen- its magical!

We visited whilst saying near Dunoon, and although we had missed the Rhododendrons we still had an enjoyable visit, the Gardens are all kept and there is lots to keep a botanist or Gardener happy. The gallery was good and the Golden Gates are superb.
