Tatopani was affected quite badly in the earthquake. The hot springs themselves seem to be ok, or they have been restored, however the roads are pretty bad especially after The Last Resort which is about 15 miles down the valley. The Chinese are also building...More

I went to the hot springs twice during a 2-day stay in Tatopani. After having hiked for 4 days with limited access to hot showers, letting myself into the hot pools was a pure luxury. There is also a hot shower available. Remember you are...More

Take a torch as coming back up steep steps in dark from riverside to hotels can be tricky. Good mix of locals and tourists, seemed ok for both genders. A place to soap up and wash clothes separate to the pools. Most people stacked their...More

An interesting place to visit and enjoy the hot spring bath. Many people visits here with religious belief as well as with the thought that such hot water cures skin diseases - not sure if it really does. The maintenance and cleanliness is very poor...More

There is a bus from Pokhara. It took us most of the day, as the roads are tricky. Tatopani is closer to Jomsom, perhaps walkable in a couple of days... 4WD taxis are available, at a higher price.
