This is a long beach with different spots and beach bar/restaurants types, from the roughest you can find to the more sophisticated and cool places. (Black) sand is thiner compaired with other beaches. Loved and just regret to find It on our last day in...More

The Perivolos Beach was a 2-minute walk from the hotel we were staying in mid-September 2019 so we obviously spent a decent amount of time at the beach and the restaurants near the beach. Its got black sand which is not the very best to...More

Spent a day here and thought it was lovely. Beach was clean and not over crowded. Plenty of bars to get food and drinks. We did see a few stray dogs but they were so friendly and don’t bother anyone. In fact we loved making...More

Delightful, peaceful area with black sand. Clear blue water, awesome views of the Aegean Sea. Many very nice restaurants with Greek traditional cooking. Shops and mini markets are located near the beach, also.

The beach is a gravelly, black sand beach with ample lounge chairs and umbrellas for rent. It's tough to walk on (both because its hot and because its soft). It's ok for an afternoon, but this is not what you flew across the ocean to...More

Loved this beach. Cheaper and less people hassling you to spend than Perissa. Clear blue water, loads of great places to eat and drink, a sublime place!

Beach very clean but as it’s a volcanic island the sand is black & very ‘gritty/little stones’ which do hurt your feet (& obviously it gets very hot)! Our hotel was right opposite beach so we were given free sunbeds/umbrellas & a waiter service (I...More

We enjoyed a nice black sand beach with great food. The restaurant brings the food to your hut and the food was delicious. Nice music and wine.

We are here now and have been to both. I’d pick Perivolos. Cool boardwalk strip with restaurants, beach clubs and pools. If you eat at one of the restaurants that has a pool you can swim. Also beach is wider and a bit nicer... More

There is some white sand near "Red Beach" . Red Beach is officially closed, but you can still get to it. There's also a beach called White Beach, but I think that the name has more to do with the cliffs behind it than the... More

There were some people snorkeling. We did snorkel for a little bit. There is not much to see but little fish here and there.
