We couldn't find the entrance into the pyramid but the garden is really nice.Very amazing historical building! Another iconic landmark that symbolizes San Francisco. You may or may not be able to go in, check with the front desk.

Another landmark that symbolizes San Francisco and was it's tallest building until 2017 when the Salesforce Tower was built.

This office building is an iconic member of the San Francisco skyline and as soon as you see it, you know where you are. I stayed just a few blocks from the Tower and used it as a landmark when I was exploring the city....More

Easily one of San Fransisco’s most distinguishable buildings, the Transamerica Pyramid can be seen for miles poking up above the Financial District. It is the second tallest skyscraper in the San Fransisco skyline.

So distinct, you can see the Transamerica Pyramid in the skyline from almost any part of San Francisco. We were even on the beach in The Marina neighborhood and could spot it in the distance.

Cities are identified with their skyline, so too San Francisco. One of SF’s iconic buildings is the Trans America Pyramid situated in the Financial District but often visible throughout the city. Enjoy!

You can probably see it from many vantage points, so I wouldn't necessarily make a dedicated trip to get super close to it . . . you get better pictures from afar anyway.

We regularly espied this grand and distinctive edifice as we walked around the city. We looked forward to visiting it. Dating from the early 1970s, it has an attention grabbing profile, towering into the skyline. It was interesting to learn that it was built on...More

It was once hated, then loved, often a focal point, now somewhat hidden by the taller and bigger skyscrapers more recently-built. Always a San Francisco landmark.

Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but
can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s
version of Wall Street. The rush of business people
make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of
life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the
narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of
historic and contemporary architecture, including the
iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours,
