Mary meets her cousin, Elizabeth, here. Elizabeth is pregnant with John the Baptizer of 6 mo. She tells Mary she is pregnant with Jesus the Son of God. It’s beautiful! Well worth the trip.

The church is very nice dedicated to Johanan the baptist. The church was built in the 50th of the last century with beautiful maosaiacs and painting. More beautiful is the walk to the church.

Here is another site that is a must see for Christians. It is where Mary told Elizabeth the soon to be mother of John the Baptist "Blessed is the fruit of thy womb"

What a lovely church and beautiful grounds. Even non-Christians will feel a sense of serenity and peace, dare I say it, a spiritual aura.

This church is built at the location of Elizabeth’s summer Home. Her cousin, the Virgin Mary, came to visit here here for three months while pregnant with Jesus. From the crest of the hill you are able to see terracing from the time of Jesus.

If you travel in Ein-Karem, then you should go to that church as well. Especially if you appreciate the religious aspect of it. We so many pilgrims come here. It is located in a stunning place.
