There really are penguins in Chile not too far from Santiago. They are safe from humans beings on the island. They can be seen by the naked eye from the path on the mainland. It is recommended to have binoculars.
Surprisingly nice stone and decking path that is close enough to view penguins, especially with binoculars. Scenery is beautiful.
