For me the Eternal Flame at the John F Kennedy Memorial evoked feelings of respect, reverence, and remembrance and raised the unanswerable question of what could have been.

We walked here directly from the visitor's center, and it took us 10-15 minutes. It was easy to find with the map. The grounds here are very pretty, and the views are great. We didn't stay long, but are glad we stopped here. This is...More

The grave is surprisingly modest given the other memorials in the area. Very difficult not to feel moved by the site or the surroundings. A place everyone should see.

Located in a part of Arlington that gives amazing views of DC and a fitting resting place. This is not a brash OTT site but probably one of the most respectful sites I have seen. I was shocked at people wanting selfies here. Respect is...More

I’ve seen video and pictures of this all my life. It’s different standing in front of it. It’s real then. Very well done site , quiet and respectful. Beautiful grounds. This is also two of his kids and his wife’s grave.

As we toured Arlington this is one of the must see sites for our group. Everyone was respectful and quiet for the most part.

I have wanted to see this for so long. It has a basic beauty to it. He is buried next to Jackie and 2 of their children. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the entrance. Not to be missed.

It was nice to visit, also to see that Jackie's final resting place is with JFK . Sad to see 2 babies there. Such a loss. My thoughts are with all parents who have lost a child.

If you are very fit you certainly can walk anywhere especially the cemetery, but if you have any doubts look for transportation. It can be very warm depending on the season.
