The port area needs investment and renovation as so much more could be made of it. During the time of visit construction was happening down on the beach but possibly to extend the promenade. Nice views across to Tel Aviv but better ones higher up. A few overpriced restaurants

Especially towards the evening, this is a popular gathering place for locals and tourists alike. In my opinion, it lacks a visual punch, but there is some picturesque component nonetheless, to say nothing of several popular restaurants.
