As we travel we are always seeking interesting places to stop, pause, and take in the scenery. Split Port was a lovely backdrop for our picnic lunch on our Baltic States discovery tour. A busy harbour with lots of hustle and bustle, great for people...More

Cruises ... start and stop here. The entry is adjacent to the road. Validated paid parking is available nearby the port and train station. The place is always thronged by tourists. There are quite a number of shops around for slip-ons, food and souvenirs -...More

The place needs a massive clean up in terms of Graffiti which is everywhere outside the the old town. The port itself had a terrible sewage smell all week which stopped you eating in the restaurants nearby. Not worth a visit.

Perfect combination. It has everything beautiful beaches, mountains, city , port, party street at nights , Old monuments. Makes a perfect spot for a vacation. Also not so expensive 👍

We enjoyed meandering along Split’s promenade and then on to the Port of Split area. Lots of yachts and boats moored and places to sit and watch the sunlight reflect off the water. Shuttle boats will leave this area for nearby islands and tour companies...More

The entire traffic system for the town cannot cope with the summer ferry traffic. Luckily I was on a bike and could weave through the traffic, but it was so bad the cars and Lorraine's could not get off the ferry so it was delayed...More

We visited this port at the start of s small shop cruise around Croatia. It is a large Croatian port but seemed fairly easy to navigate your way around the port. It felt safe & was clean & tidy for a busy tourist port. Also...More

We came here to board a small ship cruise but it was difficult to find our boat amidst the throng and there was nowhere to enquire. Put me off the whole cruising experience initially but luckily our other ports of call were much better organised.

We arrived by cruise ship and our first views of the port and city were like postcard pictures; a calm sea, the sun shining, the shoreline and wharfs with the city buildings behind, a cruise ship already in port, the luxury yachts, ferries and small...More
