The Constitution sq is a huge sq in front of the Parliament palace in downtown Bucharest. Walking over it is not that interesting, as the enormous palace dominates it which has a pretty bitter history (see that in my Parliament palace review). Oddly, the main...More

Vast semi-circular area in front of the Parliament building looking down Boulevard Unirii. Mostly filled with cars and buses for viewing the Parliament Building. Parliament and scale of the “square” are awesome but otherwise little of interest.

This square is situated in front of Parliament. It is a parking place with lots of cars and buses. At night it is a strange place because youngsters romanians get gathered there and have races with cars. But you could go there for a minute to take...More

If you wanna brag about visiting the 3rd biggest building in the world, then you have to see the Constitution Square. Beautiful and representative for the communist legacies.

Walking along Bulevardul Unirii we saw the immense square getting increasingly bigger. Positioned in front of the vast Palace it was teaming with traffic. To make way for all this Civic Centre about one fifth of the Old Town was bulldozed, displacing tens of thousands...More

This is a huge space just in front of the Palace of the Parliament currently used as a carpark which really feels like a big waste of space at the minute. It has hosted pop concerts in the past - I'd have loved to have...More

I have seen the square only from the balcony of the Palace of the Parliament. Piața Constituției (Romanian for "Constitution Square"), also known as Palace Square, is one of the largest squares in the centre of Bucharest, Romania. The square is standing face-to-face with the...More

A huge parking lot. Not just cars but also buses can park here... The result of megalomanic urban planning. If you want your roads and squares to be bigger than in Paris, but your city is much smaller you get these disproportionate lots. Paris has...More
