While walking in Ephesus you see a town with partially restored buildings, rooms, columns, etc. At the museum you can closely view statues, art, mosaics, and much more. It's icing on the Ephesus cake.

It was great to enjoy the museum after having toured the ruins to put everything into perspective. There's also a nice cafe in the garden nearby.
