To stay in the Hanoi city centre is an exotic, intensive experience. All the commerce, eating, living happens on the streets in front of you. And it is very intense.
The traffic at this place is terrible. Must be very careful when walking along the road or crossing the road
Excellent for wholeseller, but for tourist and retailers very disappointing. Shopkeepers do not show any interest in costumers just waist of time.”NO RETAIL” card shown even before entering the shop.
The old quarter is really interesting. Something around every corner, local businesses, cafes, bars and lots of scooters too ! We were there when Vietnam won football in the asean cup and it erupted into a party that lasted well into the early hours! A must visit when in Hanoi
I was very disappointed with the old quarter. The Japanese 16th century bridge is beautiful, but all around it is thousands of vendors and a enormous crowd of tourists. We did have great tea!
