The point where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. Splendid view. The lighthouse adds to the beautiful panoramic vista. The sunset it definitely worth staying for. Arrange transportation for the way back, though, as it wasn't easy finding public transportation from the place.
Almost everyone pass by this spot to take a photo with their famous sign that marks the merge between the sea & the ocean. We did so too coz why not :) The scenery is beautiful but Tangier is full of great scenery in general.
We spent the whole day over there doing nothing other than enjoying the view and the breeze.
Menu selection, quality and prices are lower than what they should be. But you do not need need all that. The location and view are more than enough...More
One of the unique aspects of history in visiting Tanger. It is also minutes from the Hercules Cave, so together its a nice visit.
About a 20-30 minute drive from the center of Tanger, with spectacular views of the water and Gibraltar.
Even though a marketed point of interest, I wouldn't say that there is something much to be seen. The cap itself is a simple one, while the views at Hercules caves and the beaches nearby are much more impressive.
Cap Spartel is on the northwestern tip of Africa, a lovely picturesque place where a 150 year old lighthouse in perfect condition stands to warn ships travelling too close to shore. The legend says that it is the point where the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean...More

Assuming your leaving from Tangiers I would say that it takes approximately 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to get to Cap Spartel in a Mercedes cab. We made an afternoon trip of it leaving just after lunch and headed initially to Hercules Cave and walked around the area for approximately 1.5 hours. We had the Cab wait for us and then drive back past the main road (which lead back to Tangiers by way of the palace) to Cap Spartel, about a 10 - 15 minute drive from Hercules Cave. We spent about 20 minutes at Cap Spartel and headed back to Tangiers and our riad for dinner. If memory serves me correctly we paid the Mercedes driver approximately 300 - 350 DH for the entire trip which took most of the afternoon.
