This is a good jumping off point. I recommend having a game plan if coming here. It's not a sit and enjoy area, too many homeless people. But, it's a cool starting point for other adventures.

From delicious and diverse restaurants to second hand book shops, yarn stores and more - it's a great neighborhood to stay in or just visit for an afternoon or night,

but the benches are tired, the pavement needs replacing/repair, and the whole circle is full of homeless people. We need to find better options for them, and some maintenance of the area will make it better for everyone

Dupont Circle was a great place to stay! There are tons of trendy shops as well as big box retailers all in walking distance. Subway and bus stops makes going to and from Dupont circle a breeze.

Dupont circle is a great area to visit while in DC. You can metro downtown or spend lots of time search for parking depending on the day. Lots of great restaurants and landmarks to visit while down there.

The general area for Dupont Circle is great, trendy cafes etc & nice wee shops. Lots to do, possibly more locals than tourists, but i may be wrong. Worth a wonder for a spot of lunch or dinner.

Not necessarily a spot to go to, but definitely a nice area to stay in while in Washington. If you have more time, you can take a short walk there and explore.

Dupont Circle is nice enough in itself. As its name implies, it honors a Dupont - no not the Dupont of gunpowder and industrial chemicals fame, but his nephew, Samuel Francis Dupont, a rear admiral during the Civil War who achieved great accolades for his...More
