A most impressive stately building in the centre of Melbourne. It is more than adequate as a government building.

Neat historic building, that you will have seen in lots of Melbourne based movies. Vaults downstairs are well interpreted and neat to see the history, Cool historic panorama in the vaults as well. A big fake gold nugget is sure to please the kids

This is a great museum that is free. You can truly learn a lot about the gold rush in Victoria. We were amazed! Also, there was a great exhibit called Wayward Women. The building itself is worth the visit.

Wonderful free museum. We were greeted by a lovely woman who told us about the place. The current exhibit on wayward women was the most interesting.
