Located about 33kms from the port town of Katakolon with plenty of parking or transport options. The ruins have been well organised and guarded. The signs are explanatory but I’d suggest going with some of guide to get the most out of the visit. The...More

This is a huge historic site which will take at least 90 minutes. There is a lot of information scattered around the site in various languages. Amazing to think this was all built so long ago.

Walking through the ruins, you could really imagine what it was like back then. Especially the running track that was used.

Great piece of historic real estate Unfortunately it proves the truism nothing lasts forever this entire complex was leveled by earthquakes then plundered by thousands of years of scavengers It would have been amazing in its original condition

For sure I'm not a fan of any kind of competitions and i was skeptical before go there. But as it seams, sports before had never to do with today's and all around suggest spiritual and hedonistic entertainment, it was easy to accept sports as...More
