Depending on what you are seeking this is a lovely building with considerable history, but once there does little more than provide a view point back onto the harbour and town. It makes a nice backdrop to pictures though.

There is so much history on Chania (as with most all of the greek islands), but we wished there was better signage so we could have understood the importance more. We walked around the fortress (really hard to miss it), but encountered few descriptive plaques....More
