I would definitely suggest that if it's possible in your budget, that you spring for a semi-private tour. The guides just bring the impressive collection of works by the Italian masters to life with details and perspectives that aren't realized when reading the synopsis of...More

This place is jam packed with art! If you are an art lover, you must visit! If you are not particularly into art, you may find the volume of art rather overwhelming!

I think we got the most our of the Uffizi by having a guided tour since we aren't art experts. Helped to know the history and the back story.
